I love being married, but I have to admit that the modern process of going about it is absolutely mind-boggling to me. I didn’t officially propose to my wife. Sure, we had a small wedding and got the marriage license and bought some cute wedding bands, but I didn’t get her a blinged out ring and get down on one knee. I didn’t have to find a fancy catering hall and get J.Lo to come and plan our “big day.” Even my wife’s wedding dress was fairly easy to find.
It was hectic but we made it work with the money that we had, and we were able to invite 250 people to the event and there was tons of amazing food that people still talk to me about until today.
And this might sound like I’m rubbing it in everyone’s face, but I know that not everyone is as lucky as me. Some people find that traditional marriage proposal romantic, and when done right, it is. But there are tons of things that can go wrong, and I can only imagine what goes on in the minds of women who are being proposed to, like these twenty women.
