Neil had to file for bankruptcy in 1998, just three years after starting his own charity for cancer research. The latest tours and clean living have helped Neil to rebound, however.

#2 Meat Loaf

Meat Loaf, whose given name is Marvin Lee Aday, came across hard times in the mid 1980's. He ended up filing for bankruptcy to solve his troubles. This occurred around the same time that a former songwriting partner filed a lawsuit against him.

#3 Wayne Newton

Wayne Newton managed to build up over $20 million in debt. He filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1992.

#4 Sinbad

Yet another celebrity that has filed for bankruptcy twice, Sinbad filed first in 2009 and then in 2013. In an interview with Oprah, he states that he does not regret investing in himself and in others that he believes in.

In 2013 he owed $11 million with $8 million being in back taxes.

With a one time estimated net worth of $33 million, Hammer's lifestyle eventually landed him with huge debt. His $12 million mansion and paid staff of 200 added up to a lot of money. Owing $13 million in debt, he was forced to file bankruptcy in 1996.
