A 19-Year-Old Found A Dead Body While Playing Pokémon
#1
19-year-old Shayla Wiggins in Riverton, Wyoming discovered a corpse while pursuing her Pokémon near Big Wind River. This discovery, traumatic under any circumstances, was certainly made more horrific by the fact that the wandering teen was probably only expecting to find a Psyduck or a Meowth.

"As I looked one way, I noticed that there was something in the water in front of me,"
"And so I took a closer look and saw it was a body."
Wiggins stated that she promptly called 911 and waited for the police to arrive.
"I was crying and shaking really bad because it was a very scary situation."

According to a Facebook statement made by the Fremont County Sheriff's Office, the deceased person is described as an "adult male" and the death "appears to be accidental in nature and possibly that of a drowning."

"At this time the investigation is ongoing," the statement reads. "Further details as to the circumstances surrounding the death will be released after preliminary autopsy results are received and we have a clearer picture of what occurred."
This news comes right on the heels of an O'Fallon, Missouri Police Department report, which states that armed robbers have been using the Pokémon Go app to lure victims into secluded areas and rob them at gunpoint.
So, while the prospect of hunting down fictional cartoon creatures may be too irresistible to ignore, please stay aware of your surroundings. We don't actually live in the sunny Pokémon universe, and a Pikachu probably isn't worth stumbling into a potentially violent crime or a police investigation scene I don't care how cute it is, dammit.
