You're about to meet a little boy named Kangkang; at just 15-months-old he's about to undergo a surgery unlike any other before, all thanks to his mother's drug habit while he was in the womb.

Kangkang was born with an "open face", giving the illusion that he's wearing a mask over his face. To her credit, his mother decided to keep him. She's decided to do everything she can to rectify the mistakes she's made even against the direct wishes from her family.

The boy's condition is something known as Ablepharon-Macrostomia Syndrome, a very rare inherited disorder, the onset of which can be caused by drug consumption during pregnancy. While searching for that answer she was told a whole number of things the first hospital even stated he suffered from "monster disease!"

Eventually she ended up in Shanghai in one of the more modern hospitals and learned the truth, and that there was a surgery they would be willing to try to attempt at no expense to her! The only downside to this option is that there's no guarantee Kangkang will make it out of this alive or that they'll even be successful. Hopefully everything goes well for the little guy, we're rooting for him!
