A female luggage handler was fatally scalped after becoming tangled in a conveyor belt, which led to her death.
When Jermani Thompson, 26, was unloading the luggage from a Frontier Airline aircraft, her hair got tangled in the equipment she was operating, and it is said that her scalp was torn off.
On August 30, the horrifying incident took place at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in the United States.

She was taken to the hospital but passed away quickly.
Her hair got trapped in a "belt loader," according to an airport spokesperson, and her body was identified at the Jefferson Parish Coroner's Office.
The spokesman said: “We are heartbroken and are supporting her family and her friends as best as we are able.”
“Please send your good wishes to everyone at our New Orleans station during this very ”difficult time.”"

She wrote: “This morning I was interviewed about a former player for a potential job.”
“At lunch, I learned about the passing of one of my former players—the highest of highs and lowest of lows as a coach. In this life, there are no guarantees.”
“You can choose the right path and still, death can call your number sooner than expected. My heart is shattered—for her family, for her friends, for her co-workers, and for this world. Jerm was a good one.”
“I can guarantee she took her last breath smiling and helping someone else. What a classy kid— Jerm, I’ll remember you this way.”
