Every day new revelations regarding Amber Heard and Johnny Depp's divorce are made and this time the latest revelation includes the exclusive list of demands that Heard's lawyer had sent to Depp, only a few days after their fight. The list includes ‘exclusive use and possession’ of three properties Depp owned – with Depp to continue to pay the mortgage and all utility bills and ‘exclusive use and possession’ of the pair’s black Range Rover with Depp to continue to make all payments towards the vehicle.
Amber Heard Sent Johnny Depp A List Of Demands After Filing For Divorce, Threatened To File A TRO Against The Actor
The defamation trial of Johnny Depp continues and in the recent news, it is revealed that Amber Heard's lawyers sent Johnny Depp a list of demands only three days after the ex-couple had an explosive argument after which Heard filed for divorce.
Heard told the court that she and her former husband Johnny Depp had a very serious argument in 2016 and this led to Depp hitting her with a phone. Depp strongly denied all the claims.
Only days later, Depp’s lawyer, Jacob Bloom, received a letter from Heard’s representative Samantha Spector, expressing Heard’s desire to ‘keep this matter out of the media spotlight’ if Depp cooperates with Heard's demands, the Mirror reports.
During the defamation trial, the letter was shown to the court, in which Depp is suing Heard for $50 million for allegedly defaming his reputation with a Washington Post article that claimed she was a victim of domestic abuse.
Spector’s letter – sent on 24 May 2016 – read: “As you may be aware your client and Amber's husband, Johnny Depp, violently attacked and threatened Amber on Saturday night, May 21, in their penthouse apartment.
“There are several witnesses to this particular incident and there are photographs depicting the property damage Johnny caused, as well as the physical injuries on Amber.
“Unfortunately, this is not the first incident of domestic violence perpetrated by Johnny against Amber.
“In fact, there have been two other incidents in the past six months.
“Although Amber is afraid of Johnny, she strongly insists that we do everything possible to keep this matter out of the media spotlight, which is why she has not yet sought a CLETS DV TRO [a temporary restraining order for domestic violence] and why we did not arrange for Johnny to have been personally served at last night's movie premiere.”
Spector went ahead to list Heard's demands. In these demands, she specifcally asked for ‘exclusive use and possession’ of the pair’s black Range Rover with Depp to continue to make all payments towards the vehicle.
She also demanded ‘exclusive use and possession’ of three properties Depp owned – penthouses 1, 3, and 5 at the Eastern Columbia Building in Downtown Los Angeles – with Depp to continue to pay the mortgage and all utility bills.
Additionally, Depp was also asked to pay $100,000 for Heard's legal fees, as well as $25,000 for forensic accounting in relation to the divorce, by 27 May 2016, three days after the letter was sent.
During the divorce process, Heard did apply for a restraining order against Depp, which was the first time the domestic abuse allegations between the couple went public.
Depp and Heard’s defamation trial is set to continue for several weeks and will likely conclude in May.
