Angry Wombat Farts And Eats Corn In Hilarious BBC Footage

#1 The southern hairy-nosed wombat called Pete aggressively munched on his favourite sweetcorn snack

as he sat on his owner's lap before passing wind.

Pete, who made his debut on BBC Two's wildlife series Natural World, then cheekily winked at the camera during the recording.

#2 His owner tempts Pete with the sweetcorn: 'Yum, want some, as a treat?'

But the mischievous wombat lets out a fart and sits there oblivious to the sweetcorn in front of him.

His caretaker responded: 'Wasn't me' after Pete finished a relatively drawn out fart.

#3 'C'mon this is your favourite', his owner teases, as Pete finally bites at the corn, albeit aggressively, giving his owner a slight scare.

#4 His owner told BBC Two,

'I'm just trying to make friends with Pete because in a moment he's going to have his medication and after that I'm going to be taking him back to the sanctuary.'

#5 'This sweetcorn is his favourite food but he is a handful he is all power, to hold onto this feels like I'm holding on one big muscle.'

#6 Pete then suddenly begins feasting on the sweetcorn, eating like a 'beaver'.

He is then given his banana-flavoured medication before he is transported back to the sanctuary.

This Footage shows the hilarious moment a wombat farted on his owner and then winked at the camera.

#7 People left equally as hilarious comments. One user wrote: 'Is that my ex?'

#8 Other users were questioning why they were watching the video: 'What am I doing with my life?'

#9 Another user queried why Pete was eating so aggressively: 'WHY IS HE SO AGGRESSIVE WHEN HE EATS'
