Billionaire Rupert Murdoch And Former Top Model Jerry Hall Going To Split After 6 Years

Two people have anonymously shared with The New York Times that the media baron Rupert Murdoch and former top model Jerry Hall are going to split up. 

The couple is set to divorce after being together for six years. While for the 91 year old Murdoch, it would be his fourth divorce, 65 year old Jerry Hall would be splitting for the second time, after her previous relationship with Rolling Stones lead singer Mick Jagger ending in 1999.

The spokesperson for Murdoch, Bryce Tom shared that Murdoch had no official guidance or comment on this matter for now.

According to the reports, the separation between Hall and Murdoch could have a huge effect on Murdoch's media empire as people close to him revealed he was spending more time on his marriage to Hall.

Murdoch's designated successor is son Lachlan and he was reportedly allowing his children more room to run things.

However, nothing has been confirmed yet and nobody can tell what lies ahead for Murdoch's media empire.

Former top model Hall and her husband Murdoch got married in March 2016 at a mansion in central London. The two went on to celebrate at St Bride's Church on Fleet Street, the traditional home of the British media.

Reportedly, sources close to Murdoch were 'surprised to hear of his split' from Hall for according to them, the two were seen at Murdoch's 90th birthday party.

Both Murdoch and Hall have children from their previous marriages. The 91 year old has six children from his previous three marriages and Hall has four children with Mick Jagger.

Having been the former owner of the now-defunct British paper News of the World, the Sky broadcasting group and 21st Century Fox, Murdoch is currently one of the richest people in the world with a net worth of around $21.7 billion.
