Billy Bush's Wife Sydney Davis Files For Divorce After The Shameful 'Access Hollywood' Scandal Came To Light, Ending 20 Years Of Marriage

#1 Sydney Davis Has Filed For Divorce And Has Asked Court The Custody of Their 3 Daughters

Citing irreconcilable differences as the major cause, Sydney Davis the wife of disgraced TV presenter Billy Davis filed for divorce in July, nearly 10 months after their separation. Sydney has also asked the court for the legal and physical custody of their daughters 13-year-old Lillie and 17-year-old Mary. They also have a 19-year old daughter, Josie who the court has already claimed to be adult. In addition to this, Sydney has also demanded spousal support.

#2 The Tape Revealed Donald Trump And Billy Having A Discussion On Groping Women

The couple got married in 1988 and got separated last year in September, almost one year after the infamous 'Access Hollywood' tapes were leaked to the public that revealed Donald Trump talking to Billy Bush about groping other women. The tape dated back to 2005 and the presenter was shortly fired from his job.

#3 The Tape Revelation Caused Billy To Be Fired From His Job

As the scandal involved the US President, Billy reportedly received $10 million dollars after he was fired from his job. Billy has led a successful career as a showbiz journalist but his career was finished as soon as the degrading tape became public. The tape was leaked in October 2019, in which Donald Trump could be clearly heard boasting that his celebrity status lets him do whatever he pleases to do with women. "You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful... I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the p***y. You can do anything." While Billy seemed to acknowledge the disgusting words and could be heard laughing in the back.

#4 Billy Was Hoping That He Would Be Able To Overcome This Setback With Sydney

According to reports, Billy and Sydney have parted ways after being together for almost 20 years. When asked about this, Billy's representative said, "After almost 20 years of marriage, they have separated for the moment to evaluate their life together... They love each other and their children deeply and are committed to a bright future." Billy later apologized for his attitude and in an interview said, "I was ashamed and embarrassed... And then I went through stages of grieving because I lost my career. For a man, that’s the ultimate degradation." But Billy's words of apology did little to cover his mistake and a year later the couple announced their separation. Regarding his separation with wife, Billy said, "I was a happy-go-lucky guy... Everything is going great and I was like, ‘Hey, this is awesome!’ And then, kaboom."

It later came to light that Billy has been working on himself and has been trying to find peace with himself and in self-reflection, the showbiz personality was reading the Bible daily. He said, "I have done so much self-help work... There is a term for what I did. It’s called bystander abuse. It says by not doing anything you are endorsing the moment. I have to live with that."

#5 The Couple Might Be Divorcing Soon

Billy was also hoping that he and his wife Sydney would be able to overcome this hardship and that they won't separate. In an interview at the time, he said, "We got married young and had our first child right away... We’re taking a step back. We get to explore and take our time. She’s been so awesome through everything. I love her very much." But things definitely did not work out the way he wanted and the couple might soon be divorcing.

#6 Billy Claims The #Metoo Movement And The Scandal Forced Him To Do Some Deep Thinking

According to Billy, the #metoo movement had a different meaning for him and he learned an important lesson not only from the scandal but also from the movement too. The former journalist was quoted saying, "I had some growing up to do anyway in life...I did so much exploring and figuring out. I’m a deeper person. And I’m happy about using my knowledge for a good purpose. I have three daughters.They are going to be in the workplace one day. I want them to be paid equally, I want them to be treated well and when they walk out of a room I don’t want to ever hear anyone talking behind their back in a degrading way."

Billy has now no plans of returning to the Entertainment Industry and he plans on focusing solely on developing his liquor company, Beach Whiskey, which he co-founded almost two years ago.
