British Woman's Romantic Holiday In Srilanka Turned Into A Deadly Nightmare

Diane De Zoysa, 59, was in a relationship with her 26-year old husband Priyanjana, during her holidays in Columbo. In the midst of all the passionate romance between the couple during the holidays, Diane sold her Edinburgh house and quitted her council job to move to her lover's place and to marry him.

However, according to Diane, her dream turned into a nightmare when her husband changed after their marriage as he became more violent and aggressive. Diane suspects that her husband was also hiding a second wife and claims that he married her for the sake of her money. She also claims that her husband lost interest in her physically after their marriage and often threatened to leave her and go to Dubai or Korea to find a better job.

According to Diane, the last few months of her marriage were tough for her as her husband was always upset and angry and she was even planning to leave him. But, before she could leave him he was murdered in an apparent blackmail plot. It is also reported that Priyanjana was murdered by his own friends as they considered him rich and were extorting money from him and when he failed to pay them they shot him dead.

Diane has also given her £100,000 savings to her husband and now she is left with no money and savings and is stuck in Srilanka with no means to go back to her native land.

Diane says' "I didn't want him to die but now I can move on with my life. I have to start all over again. It's not going to be easy, especially if I have no money."

According to her she is also in touch the British Consulate in Colombo and is attempting to establish her rights so that she can go back to her own homeland England.
