Britney Spears Jokes She's 'Not Dead' After Millie Bobby Brown Expresses Interest in Playing Her

After Milly Bobby Brown expressed interest in playing the pop diva, Britney Spears took to social media to address rumors that a biopic of her life is being planned.

The 40-year-old pop star Britney Spears has responded to Millie Bobby Brown's remarks about wanting to play her in a biopic.

On Monday, November 7, the Stranger Things star, age 18, made an appearance on The Drew Barrymore show. There, she showed interest in playing...Baby One More Time singer.

Britney, 40, slammed her estranged family in a lengthy Instagram post in which she denounced the idea.

She wrote in an extensive rant on Instagram: “I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life... dude I’m not dead!!!”

After telling Drew on her show that Britney's story "resonates with me," Millie revealed that she felt the same way about Britney.

She added: “Growing up in the public eye, watching her videos, watching interviews of her when she was young.”

When Millie watched past interviews with the pop artist, she claimed to have sensed comparable emotions because the two had experienced "growing up in public."

“I mean, the same thing with you,’ she said, comparing her and Britney’s early experiences to Drew’s work as an in-demand child actress on films like E.T. and Firestarter.”

“I see the scramble for words, and I don’t know her, but, when I look at pictures of her, I feel like I could tell her story in the right way.”

"And hers only,” she added.

Britney sent a longer message in which she addressed her family's problems and included a criticism of the biography as part of it.

She wrote: “Good news, good news !!! Still breathing … it’s funny the same two people who gave me life are the same exact 2 people who took it away … but guess what !!! I’m alive and I’m breathing again !!!”

She criticized her parents and the 12-year conservatorship she was subject to until 2021 in other parts of the post.

She wrapped by saying: “I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life … dude I’m not dead!!!”

"Although it’s pretty f**king clear they preferred me dead… I guess my family is going to lock their doors now!!!”
