Burger King Forced To Pay $35,000 After Prank Goes Horribly Wrong

If someone called you up, and told you that you had a gas leak in your house/office, what would you do?

Evacuate? Call your gas company? Or smash every window in the building, and ram it with a car?

A branch of Burger King in Morro Bay, California went with the latter. After receiving what turned out to be a hoax call, informing that the restaurant was slowly filling up with gas, employees got themselves into a bit of a panic, and basically smashed everything up.

US authorities are now urging people to heed any odd sounding emergency warnings, as Burger King have had to pay $35,000 to repair the damage done. The man who rammed the building with a car (he turned out to be the manager) has been suspended, and we're betting that the employees who fell for this prank are feeling pretty sheepish..
