In a recent episode of Michelle Visage's Rule Breakers podcast, 51-year-old Cameron Diaz made a striking revelation.

She shared that these days, she's less bothered about how she looks and more into things that truly matter to her.

"I don't care," she said when asked about the topic. "Literally, the last thing I think about on a daily basis, like maybe not at all during the day, is what I look like."

She emphasized how toxic the industry can be when it comes to appearances.

"You just start to pick yourself apart," she told the host.

Nowadays, she's all about more meaningful stuff. She even joked about barely finding time to wash her face or stick to a morning skincare routine.

"Twice a month if I'm lucky, I'll be like, 'Oh, I better put this on. One time works, right?'", she said. "Is that all I have to do? I'm just not in that place right now like where I put any energy [into worrying about it]."

Even though she's moved on from that mindset, she's cool with anyone still caught up in it.

"Again, I just go back to the trap of it all, especially in our society like what we value, what we think is important," the actress added. "Look, if it's important to you, that's fine."

Diaz had a long run in the entertainment world before retiring a few years ago. However, she made a brief return to the big screen alongside Jamie Foxx in the action-comedy "Back in Action."

Details about the Netflix movie are still under wraps, leaving fans curious about what's to come.

Speculations about Diaz retiring from filmmaking surfaced following remarks by her "The Sweetest Thing" co-star, Selma Blair.

In a report by Metro UK, Blair suggested that the 51-year-old had decided to step away from the industry.

The Cruel Intentions actress recalled a chat about the prospect of retirement with Diaz, saying: "I had lunch with Cameron the other day. We were reminiscing about [The Sweetest Thing]. I would have liked to do a sequel but Cameron's retired from acting. She's like 'I'm done.'"

Then later in another interview, Diaz confirmed the rumors, stating: "I'm semi-retired, too, and I am actually retired, so I would love to see you ladies," when speaking of a reunion between Blair, as well as their friend, Christina Applegate.

Over the past few years, reports suggest that Diaz has shifted her focus to family life, citing the demanding nature of her job as a reason for this change.

"These back-to-back 10-hour workdays have been a lot on her and she hates being away from Raddix," a source close to Diaz told the Daily Mail earlier this year. "Cameron loves being a mom more than anything in the world."

While Diaz's husband, Benji Madden, is very supportive of her acting career, her time on set has apparently "been a lot on him."

The pair share a daughter, Raddix Madden, who was born in December 2019.

Taking to Instagram, Diaz and Madden announced the birth of their daughter with an emotional post on the actress's Instagram that read: "We are so happy, blessed, and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden. She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family."

“I just went along with what people were telling me what to do,” in terms of her look, Pamela told Elle.

The toned-down look, the actress said, is “freeing, and fun, and a little rebellious too.” She continued: “Because I did notice that there were all these people doing big makeup looks, and it’s just like me to go against the grain and do the opposite of what everyone’s doing.

“I think we all start looking a little funny when we get older.

“And I’m kind of laughing at myself when I look in the mirror.

“I go, ‘Wow, this is really… what’s happening to me?’ It’s a journey.”

Some online readers joked that they “wouldn’t care either” if they looked like Cameron
