Underwood also told her fans that they should prepare themselves for the next time she appears on camera that she might appear different as she got 40-50 stitches on her face. The star though reveals that her incident was a scary one but she is still grateful as it could have been much worse, and though the differences are not very much visible for now, she is not sure about the changes in future.

After a fall in November, singer Carrie Underwood suffered serious injuries on her face that led her to have 40-50 stitches. The fall took place at her home on the steps and it is reported that the singer also sustained injuries on her wrist. In the initial reports, the singer's wrist injury was only made public.

The fans were heartbroken when Underwood in a blog post on an official fan website posted about her face injury, revealing to the fans that in addition to her wrist injury her face got badly injured and got 40-50 stitches on her face. In her post, Underwood told the fans that the fans should be ready as she might look a bit different in the public now due to the stitches.

"Just a Dream" singer in her post wrote, "There is also another part of the story that I haven’t been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up. In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well. I’ll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told Mike that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in."

Talking about her recovery after the incident, Underwood wrote, "Now, here we are 7 weeks later and, even though I’ve had the best people helping me, I’m still healing and not quite looking the same. I honestly don’t know how things are going to end up but I do know this: I am grateful. I am grateful that it wasn’t much, much worse. And when I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different,” she wrote. I’m hoping that, by then, the differences are minimal, but, again, I just don’t know how it’s all going to end up."

The post reveals that though the singer got serious injuries on her face she is healing well and it seems like she is mentally prepared for the changes and wants her fans to be too. It has also been observed that Underwood has been quite active on social media after the incident and is preparing well for her upcoming album.
The actor has also posted a picture of herself after the incident, in the picture her face, however, was covered by a scarf. On her Instagram account actress, Adrienne Gang posted a picture of herself alongside Underwood, who at that time was wearing a wrist brace in the picture. The star captioned the picture, saying, "I had no clue she was injured … she looked amazing!"
