They met in 1995 on the set of "Seven," but Pitt and Paltrow's beloved Hollywood romance ended on June 16, 1997. Pitt proposed in Dec. 1996, Paltrow said yes, and they were reportedly set to marry in East Hampton, N.Y. in the summer of '97. Of course, that never happened!

#2 Julia Roberts & Kiefer Sutherland

In 1991, Julia Roberts and Kiefer Sutherland's Hollywood wedding was set to take place at 20th Century Fox's Soundstage 14. But it never happened. Roberts shocked the world when she broke up with Sutherland just three days before the ceremony and ran off with his best friend, actor Jason Patric. Friends said Sutherland was "shocked" by the split, but more than a decade later, he said, "I commend Julia for seeing how young and silly we were, even as painful and difficult as it was."

#3 Hugh Hefner & Crystal Harris

Playboy playmate Crystal Harris and Hugh Hefner were set to wed in June 2011, but Harris -- who is more than half a century younger than Hefner -- called off the nuptials just a few days before their wedding at the Playboy Mansion. The couple ended their relationship completely after the broken engagement. BUT, a year later they rekindled their romance and wed on the New Year's Eve 2012.

The stars seemed to align for the Dancing with the Stars pros who were engaged within six months of their first date in 2008. But star-crossed lovers are forever doomed, and the dancers called it quits in 2009, ending their plans for a summer wedding.
