Celebrities Who Destroyed Their Careers In 2017

We all love celebrities. We stand in long lines to see them perform, and we gossip about them with our friends. Many of us idolize all of their hard work they have put in to gain their success. They are heroes to many, and we often look up to them. However, there are some that really hit rock bottom and do things that are truly despicable. 2017 was an incredible year for some of the biggest names in the industry who committed career suicide. Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner had a fantastic career as a model and even had a cosmetic line that was taking off, but then she did that Pepsi ad. In the ad, she basically stops a riot that is raging between the police and black people by handing one of the officers a can of Pepsi. Social media went nuts and her actions ruined the positive image she once purveyed.

Dani Mather

Mather posted a Snapchat image from inside her gym where there was an elderly woman undressing in the background. Her caption read, "If I can’t unsee this then you can’t either." Not only was her actions insulting, they were downright shameful. She lost a ton of fans over this image.

Chris Rock

Chris Rock is well-known for talking about the more sensitive issues, but he crossed a line when he said, "They cry (the victim) because they want money." This statement was made in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal. His comment took him right out of the spotlight.

Robin Thicke

TMZ revealed that Robin Thicke uses excessive force and spanks his child on a regular basis. His son's school says that the child is afraid of Thicke but was unable to say why. Thicke denies these claims, but the accusations have caused his career to take a nosedive.

Abby Lee Miller

Abby Lee Miller was sentenced to 366 days at CI Victorville facility in Victorville, California, for fraud. She had claimed bankruptcy but it was later found out that she had hidden $775k from her time at Dance Moms.

Kevin Hart

This actor appeared to have a successful career as well as a happy family life. He was caught on tape getting handsy with a model in a Las Vegas hotel room while his wife was pregnant with their third child.

Jennifer Lawrence

Our favorite goofy actress has had a really bad year. It all started with allegations that she hooked up with Christ Pratt which is believe to have led to the breakup between him and Anna Farris. It was followed by her role in the movie Mother which shocked both her fans and her critics and she went on to blame Trump supporters for hurricane Irma. Directors and producers have also backed down from her saying that she is insufferable diva while on set.

Rob Kardashian

When Rob posted revenge photos of Blac Chyna, it caused a massive uproar. Blac Chyna responded by filing several lawsuits against him and added claims of physical abuse.

Taylor Swift

We all know that Taylor Swift is a diva in her industry, and her image is getting lower. She stooped to an all-time low when she threatened reviewers and journalists if they wrote reviews before the release of her new album.

Morocco Omari

This Empire star was arrested for assault and battery after a 24-year-old woman said that he repeatedly shoved her to the ground in Hyde Park, Chicago. The police said that there was evidence of the battery, and his mugshot was released to the public. It is just not a good look for Omari.

Amy Schumer

Schumer is one of the highest paid female comedians. It was revealed that she has stolen several of her jokes from Tammy Pescatelli, Wendy Liebman, Kathleen Madigan, and Patrice O'Neal. Amy calls it 'deriving inspiration' but they do not find her acts funny and her career has definitely taken a plunge because of it.

50 Cent

While at a gig at Lox Baltimore Soundstage, a fan caught his hand which caused 50 to fall a bit forward. In response, he shoved the woman, and it was all caught on tape. Also, this is not the first time his anger towards a fan has caused him to come undone.

Bill O'Reilly

The famous FOX News anchor has paid over $32 million to settle sexual harassment cases against him. After all of this, he was once again accused of the same sexual misconduct, and it killed his career.

Kevin Spacey

Spacey was accused of sexual assault and harassment against several young male models in the early stages of his career. He also came out as gay, a fact that he used to escape criticism. Since the scandal broke, sever producers have pulled out from several of Spacey's projects which include 'House of Cards' that he ws fired from.

Harvey Weinstein

Actresses like Ashley Judd, Lena Heady, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rose McGowan, and Angelina Jolie along with many other models and actresses have come forward accusing Weinstein of sexual misconduct and abuse of power. Since the scandal, he has lost his position at the company and his career is basically dead.
