You either really, really love Angelina Jolie, or you really, really despise her. She is certainly not without her issues, some public and some private. Her recent split from husband Brad Pitt is just one of her romantic and personal missteps over the years in the limelight.

#2 And People Hate Her

Most people know the actress for her humanitarian work and her decision to adopt three of her six children from developing countries. She's been a champion of women's health issues, having written extensively about her decision to undergo preventative surgeries to reduce her cancer risks. But everyone has their haters, and Jolie is not immune to disdain from fans and even other Hollywood elite.

#3 Jennifer Aniston

So of course, we included Jennifer Aniston on this list. She despises Angelina Jolie. And not just because the actress stole her then-husband, Brad Pitt while working on the film 'Mr & Mrs Smith', but because of the way she treated Aniston in the media. Everyone in America chose sides and there was even a Team Aniston and Team Jolie in the tabloids, though neither actress participated in the blitz. When Jolie told Vogue magazine some intimate details about her relationship and then accused Aniston of causing her own breakup, Aniston retaliated with her own Vogue interview stating "There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening. I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss." The dislike is mutual but Aniston is said to be gloating now that the couple has split up.

#4 Billy Bob Thornton

Angelina Jolie has been linked to a string of Hollywood's biggest stars but the weirdest of them all was with Billy Bob Thornton. The two met on the set of the 1999 movie "Pushing Tin" and were married just three months later. He was twice her age, and she had his name tattooed on her arm, and the two exchanged finger cuts and carried each other's blood around their necks in vials. They broke up three months after she adopted her first child, Maddox, from Cambodia, and divorced in 2003. The experience is not something Thornton remembers with a smile. "I mean it was a crazy time," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "I've never been fond of it."

#5 Laura Dern

Actress Laura Dern despises Angelina Jolie though she has only made one public statement about the homewrecker. Dern was involved with Thornton and sharing a Hollywood home with him when she went to work on a film, much like Pitt did with Aniston, and when she returned, her man was in love with Jolie. In fact, they had married while she was away and she only learned of the wedding through news reports. The Wild at Heart (1990) actress told ABC News, "I left our home to work on a movie, and while I was away, my boyfriend got married, and I've never heard from him again. Ever." She later stated in the same interview that it would be easy to pin this unsavory situation on Thornton, but hey, "it takes two to tango." Still, she refused to appear at several ceremonies that Jolie was attending over they years.

#6 Chelsea Handler

When foul-mouthed and politically incorrect comedian Chelsea Handler appeared on an episode of Watch What Happens Live, she called out Angelia Jolie as a homewrecker and a "demon". Known for her stoic comedy, she wasn't joking when she ranted about how tasteless and over-rated the actress was. She later appeared on The Joy Behar Show where she was asked about her comments and she did not hold back. Handler insisted her disdain was not about Jolie's alleged crimes against close friend Jennifer Aniston, saying, "It has nothing to do with Jennifer. As a woman, I know when you see somebody walking across the room that's a bad girl. I just don't like Angelina Jolie. I don't think she's a girl's girl. I like girl's girls!" She also used some pretty foul language and said "I couldn't see any circumstance where we would become friends."

She never really said she disliked the Maleficent star, but First Lady Michelle Obama is reported to have said that Jolie, who has served as United Nations Goodwill Ambassador since 2001, was pretty 'mean' and 'not very nice'. Those comments came after Jolie remarked in US Magazine that the President was a traitor and that she not only dislikes Obama but thinks he's also a socialist. The same article sourced a friend of hers who said, "She hates him. She's into education and rehabilitation and thinks Obama is all about welfare and handouts. She thinks Obama is really a socialist in disguise." Michelle Obama has more class than Jolie so left it alone after letting her feelings be known.

You may not know producer Scott Rudin by name, but you've probably seen his films. His work includesÂ Clueless (1995), The First Wives Club (1996), Team America: World Police (2004), No Country for Old Men (2007), and The Social Network (2010). When Wikileaks released the Sony emails, Jolie was named in a huge percentage of the leaked messages. His harsh criticisms of Jolie, which were not meant to be seen by the actress, were published for the entire world to read. Among many accusations about her acting ability, comments include things like "I'm not destroying my career over a minimally talented spoiled brat who thought nothing of shoving this off her plate for eighteen months so she could go direct a movie," Rudin wrote to then-Sony president Amy Pascal. Jolie countered by trying to sue the company but the suit fell through and she went on to do other projects with them.

#9 Amal Clooney

Celeb Dirty Laundry reported that Jolie skipped the Clooney wedding because she disagreed with the bride's political views. Clooney and Brad Pitt are best friends and are often seen together, but their wives have a very brutal dislike for one another. Amal Clooney told the Today Show that she believes Jolie is jealous of her and her marriage to Clooney, though she refused to answer follow-up questions on the subject. Amal is an activist, author, and attorney specializing in human rights and international law. She represented Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, in his fight against extradition. WikiLeaks is the organization that published Rudin's anti-Jolie emails. Amal is said to have thought the ordeal was "hilarious" that Jolie was named hard to work with and overly unrespected in Tinseltown.

#10 Sarah Jessica Parker

Apparently, Jolie and Parker have a long standing feud that stems way back to the early 1990s though no one is sure how it began. When Parker was starring in Sex And The City and getting lots of publicity from the tabloids, Angelina shared a private message with a male nanny that said, "To be honest, she has a man face. Manlier than Aniston's. She can't act to save her life." Of course, those messages were later 'leaked' somehow and Parker replied 12 months later in an interview on The View saying, "What a disgusting person. Every self-respecting woman shouldn't support a woman who steals men, she's done that countless times. A person that uses her kids to get the cover of magazines, are you kidding me?"

#11 Doctor Drew

When Dr. Drew made comments about the actress on his national television series, it started a big feud between Jole, Pitt, and all of her fans who rallied against the 'doctor' for his remarks about her mental state. Apparently, Dr. Drew made comments stating that Jolie was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder years ago which can instigate some very "off" behavior from time to time. He then said that Brad and Angelina are headed for a major nuclear meltdown if she doesn't finally get some real help for her mental issues. Though his comments on her health were unwarranted, the split between Brangelina happened as he predicted.

#12 Jon Voight

Her own father has had trouble with her. Oscar winner Jon Voight has had an on-again-off-again relationship with Jolie for years, dating way back before she starred in 'Girl Interrupted' and gained notoriety as his daughter. He is said to have been upset that she changed her surname legally and blamed the actor for his split with her mother.

#13 Reconciliation

"To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive. I could not look at myself in the morning, if I did that," she once told the Today Show about her father and mothers split. That comment left people bewildered since the world knew of her affair with the very married Brad Pitt on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2005. After all the turmoil, Voight and Jolie reconciled to appear in her Tomb Raider movies but he has stated numerous times that he is worried about his daughter's mental illness and stability.
