When we normal people break up, one thing we all try to avoid is running into our Ex. For celebrities, this becomes a more difficult task as even though they are no longer together they still have to attend awards or some other functions where it’s really hard to avoid the other. But this gets really really awkward when they have to work together and continue to ACT as couples. But that's why they get paid the big bucks!

#1 Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake

They dated for only 3 years before breaking up in 2006 but it was big news in the media. They ended up having to work together in the movie âÂ€Â˜Bad Teacher' in 2011. Though Cameron stated in an interview that they both have moved on and it was fun working together again.

#2 Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki

Life imitated art on the set of "The Big Bang Theory," when Cuoco and Galecki began dating in real life as their characters of Penny and Leonard were dating on screen. They dated for about 2 years before breaking up and never told anyone for three years afterward. However, they remained friends and coworkers through it all. Kaley is now happily married to her husband Ryan Sweeting.

#3 Diane Keaton And Al Pacino

These two Hollywood greats dated on and off while filming the first two "Godfather" movies in the '70s. Their cooled chemistry after breaking up was very evident when they reunited to film "Godfather III" 16 years later. They both romanced other people over the years but Hollywood gossip tabloids insist that Pacino is still in love with Keaton, after all these years.

They played brother and sister on "Dexter" but their chemistry surpassed that of normal siblings, and the two actors began dating. They got married in 2008 but wound up breaking up just 3 years later. Affleck was famous for his many high-profile relationships, including one with Gwyneth Paltrow in the late 90's. The pair broke up in 1999, but briefly reunited before finally ending things in 2000. Paltrow says "I like Ben, he's a fun guy and we're still close friends." She was recently seen palling around with Affleck's other ex, Jennifer Garner.

They started dating while working together in the movie âÂ€Â˜X-Men: First Class' but broke up shortly after despite the fact that they had already announced plans to be married. They still had to work together in the two sequels âÂ€Â˜Days of Future Past' and recently released âÂ€Â˜Apocalypse'. Lawrence said that "It was one of the best short lived romances of my life."

Pacey and Joey may have ended up together in "Dawson's Creek," but it didn't work out that way for Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes. Although the two dated for a short time while filming the popular teen drama, they broke up before the show was over. Thankfully, they were able to continue their on-screen romance without any real-life drama. She, of course, went on to marry and then divorce Tom Cruise, who was much older than herself.

Garner had an on-again-off-again romance with her "Alias" co-star Michael Vartan, but it never lasted longer than a year. The break-up didn't affect their professional relationship, thankfully, as their show still had a long way to go. To make things more awkward Jennifer was pregnant with Ben Affleck's baby while filming the last season.

Bella and Edward's romance in the "Twilight" movies was so powerful that it made Stewart and Pattinson start dating in real life. They were seen everywhere and photographed in all the right places together. Although they became one of the most-watched couples in Hollywood for a while, they ended up breaking up after their final movie production. It is rumored to all have been a publicity stunt, but Stewart says she "still carries a torch" for Pattinson and "always will."

They played brother and sister in the show âÂ€Â˜Brothers and Sisters' when they started dating in real life. Seeing their chemistry the story was given a twist by the writers and their characters also started to hook up on the show. The fans loved it. But, they broke up in real life making it really awkward. Later after Emily had her own series, "Revenge," producers offered Annable a role in the show but he turned it down saying he "couldn't work with Emily again." Guess they were just acting the last few seasons on Brothers & Sisters.

It makes it difficult when the two celebs are partners in a business venture. These two celebrities started a talent show together titled "Q'ViVa" that focused on finding top Latin performers. Although many thought the married couple would stay together forever, they divorced in 2011 and both left the show completely. They were forced to remain close and continue to remain friends since they are co-owners of Nuyorican Productions, which is operated by friends of both, Benny Medina who has been trying to buy our Anthony but he refuses to sell.
