Celebs Who Are Virtually Unrecognizable Since Their Career Began

While Hollywood is infamous for pushing out aging actresses once they start to wrinkle, some have been able to beat the odds and have had a remarkable career despite their age. Yet it would be difficult to distinguish their current look from when they first started out in acting. Some of those who have changed, however drastic, have actually been for the better, but many haven’t been as lucky.

#1 Kim Kardashian

Yet, over the years she seems to have changed drastically in her look. Constantly battling rumors over her enhanced derriere and speculation over more than just Botox on her face, comparing side-by-side photos of an earlier version of Kim Kardashian has the public wondering what exactly she may have done to alter her look. She has consistently stated that her buttocks are natural and her facial features are only enhanced by expert makeup contouring, but it's becoming increasingly difficult to believe.

#2 Nicole Richie

She has shed a considerable amount of weight, and looks almost skeletal in comparison. While there is still a resemblance to her former self, the differences are pretty shocking. She now looks more like a close relation rather than just a few years older from her The Simple Life days.

Yet, the drastic changes to her facial features have made people wonder if it was more than just the natural progression of growing up that has changed this once Good Times actress. From eyelids that seem pulled back beyond recognition to a narrowed nose that makes triangles from the nostrils, Jackson looks far different from her younger self.

Nowadays, Breslin has shed the look of that little girl, and appears all grown up in her latest role in TV's Scream Queens. Far from that cute little face from Little Miss Sunshine, she looks more like a future porn star whenever she's seen on the red carpet. With an ample bosom to the pouty red lips, Breslin is virtually unrecognizable from her early start on screen.

This is a far cry from her earlier years when she looked like just another girl-next-door, but that is what money and fame can do to a budding starlet. Obviously, the world seems to like the new and improved Lawrence better than her teenage awkward years on TV, but it's interesting to see such a drastic change in such a short amount of time.

Yet, unlike Marilyn, Bardot lived to see what she would look like in her later years of life. While it was inevitable that she would lose the ultra-toned face from her youth, no one could anticipate how hard the years would actually be on her. While Raquel Welch and Sophia Loren have still managed to hold on to their looks, Bardot was among the unlucky in her physical appearance.

The two eventually split, and now Griffith looks even more deformed than she did a few years back. There is no talk of any future plans to return to plastic surgery for Griffith, and that is probably a good thing the damage has already been done

Ryan decided to do a bit of meddling with plastic surgery and obviously went one too many times to the doctor's office. She now is pretty much blackballed by Hollywood casting agents, since she has alienated her look beyond recognition.

In an obvious attempt to stave off the signs of aging, Thurman now looks like just another cautionary tale as to why women shouldn't put too much trust in the hands of their plastic surgeon. Not only does she no longer have the same look from her earlier days on film, but it seems impossible for her to ever again get another leading lady role on the big screen.
