Here Comes The King 1979

We could not start this list without showing you the iconic first Budweiser Clydesdale commercial. This one came out in 1979 and had the catchy tune, "Here Comes The King", stuck in our heads for as long as we can remember. We also got our first look at these huge, majestic horses that would represent the brand for all of the years to come.

9/11 Tribute 2002

This commercial was only aired one time during the Super Bowl XXXVI in 2002 because Anheuser-Busch did not want to make money from it. They were strictly trying to pay tribute to those affected by the events of 9/11. There were updated versions of this commercial aired several times, but this particular video was only seen once, and those who had the chance to see it will never forget it. It is by far one of their most powerful commercials that Anheuser-Busch has ever created.

Dream 1998

This commercial aired during the 1998 Winter Olympics. It features a foal who dreams of being part of the coveted Clydesdale team as he runs alongside them while in his pen. At the end, the lead horse looks back and winks at the foal as if he is encouraging him to keep up his good work and practice.

Streaker 2006

This is by far one of the funniest commercials that the brand has come out with over the years. It played during Super Bowl XL and left us in stitches. It was definitely not what we had expected, and that is what made it so great.

Circus 2009

This commercial makes the list because it shows how true love really has no bounds. There is no distance that can keep two people or animals, in this case, apart if they really love each other. Seeing the two come together at the end made us all want to jump up and cheer for more than just the Super Bowl that was playing when this commercial aired.

Fence 2010

This Super Bowl ad gave us a taste of what it is like to have true friends that do not allow anything to keep them apart. As young animals, they were kept apart by a fence, but as they grew older, the steer was able to break through that fence and run side by side with his best pal.

Budweiser Dalmatians Spot The Dog

This commercial breaks your heart from the very beginning. We see a poor stray dog just searching for something that will make his world a bit brighter. We see him get scared and shooed away and finally drenched from someone driving through a mud puddle. Once, he sees what has happened, he takes advantage of his misfortune and turns it into a positive as he hops on the wagon disguised as a Dalmatian and takes the ride of his life.

Generations 2009

This commercial is an endearing story like many of our own, here in America. It is a story of an immigrant looking for a better life in America. It shows all of the hard work and dedication that it takes to be great in this nation and how it opens doors for our future generations. This commercial is really just about as American as you can get.

Good Dog Bad Dog 2017

Nothing is worse than some arrogant person trying to act like they are the best. It is especially awful when they think their pet is better than yours, especially if you are a dog lover who rescues mutts that have no special pedigree. This commercial shows how one should never underestimate the underdog.

Lost Dog 2015

Yes, I had to add the tear-jerker to this list because it is probably the best commercial Anheuser-Busch ever came out with. It is the story of the lost puppy from the Clydesdale farm who goes through so much just trying to find his way back home. He is ultimately saved by his beloved horses, and we all reach for our tissues.
