What are the chances of you strolling through the centre of Manchester and suddenly finding yourself in a scene straight out of a movie? Well, for one TikToker, on 24 September, they indeed found themselves in such a scenario.

TikToker Ruthie Kerr came face-to-face with a police officer who looked so much like 40-year-old actor Seth Rogen, who starred in the movie Superbad as Officer Michaels, that according to one viewer, he looks even more like Rogen than the actor himself.

The policeman was spotted at the Deansgate-Castlefield tram stop in central Manchester in UK. The video shows him being spotted by the TikToker, who begins to address him as 'Officer Rogen' while laughing.

The Rogen doppelganger simply smirks at the camera and nods his head. The TikToker then pokes him with his balloon sword to check if he was really the actor himself or not.

The post has garnered over two million views, with other TikTok users have flocked to the video in amusement over just how closely the police officer resembles the Superbad star.

One said: "He’s just come back from a night out with Mclovin."

"So that’s not Seth Rogan shooting a film as an officer?" another wrote in surprise.

A third stated: "@Seth Rogen please confirm if this is you our not."

The real Rogen has yet to publicly comment on the potential sighting or to confirm whether or not he had decided to pop over to Manchester to play a bit of dress-up.

Although people love his character 'Officer Michaels' in Superbad, Seth Rogen wants the world to know that his bumbling cop character in the 2007 film was meant to be a red flag, not a role model.

Celebrating the 15th anniversary of the beloved teen comedy, he told Vanity Fair about one "horrifying" comment he often receives from fans about Officer Michaels.

"I get a lot where cops come up to me and say, 'I became a cop because of Superbad,'" he said. "That has been said to me on numerous occasions. And when they say that to me, I say, 'That is f---ed up. You did not understand the movie.'"

Despite fans' suspicions about whether Rogen was truly in Manchester and posing as an undercover cop of sorts, the chances of the video showing him are looking slim. Perhaps this is good news for the police officer in the video, who could very easily become a professional doppelgänger of the actor.

Let's just hope he didn't get inspired by 'Officer Michaels' to become a cop, because those kinds of cops looks good on TV screens only.
