A married female teacher is facing a sex charge and the possible end of her career.
Cops allegedly caught her having sex with an underage boy in her car.
The panicked youngster reportedly tried to flee crashing the car.
In Douglas County, Nebraska, USA, police officers made a discovery after one of their own went to check out a parked vehicle.
The car, which belonged to a woman, was located in a spot that seemed out of the ordinary, situated at the end of a dead-end street.
When he looked inside he allegedly found Erin Ward, 45, and the 17-year-old naked and engaging in sex acts.
Officials have issued a warning that she might be at risk of losing her career and could also be facing a charge related to sexual conduct.
Police officers state that they discovered the two individuals in the back seat of the Honda Sedan.
This discovery was made after the police had been alerted to a vehicle that appeared suspicious.
When the teenager saw the deputy he reportedly panicked and rushed to the driver's seat in an attempt to flee.
However, during what is said to be an attempt to escape, he ended up crashing the vehicle into a garden.
Officers observed him fleeing from the car, and he was not wearing any clothes at the time.
Over an hour later, he was reportedly discovered in a nearby neighborhood.
At that point, he was only dressed in underwear and a T-shirt.
Ward, who stayed at the crash site, was allegedly found naked and was in the process of putting her clothes back on.
Both Ward and the person believed to be the victim were treated for minor injuries that they sustained during the car crash.
Ward is understood to be a substitute teacher at multiple schools in the area including Burke High School.
Authorities have since said the teacher admitted to having sexual relations with the teenager, reports WOWT.
Deputies later discovered that the vehicle involved in the incident was owned by Ward and her spouse.
The teacher was subsequently arrested and has been charged with one count of felony sexual abuse by a school employee.
The investigation is still underway.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has stated that it is collaborating closely with Omaha Public Schools on this case.
