Courteney Cox Gives Her 80s Tampon Ad A Hilarious Update To Give It A Menopause Spin
Courteney Cox was enlightening the world about the advantages of Tampax at the same time that she was delighting us with her dance moves alongside Bruce Springsteen.
Cox appeared on our television screens in 1985 and passionately argued that "Tampax can change the way you feel about your period."
37 years later, Cox is updating her advertisement to make it more relevant for people who may have grown past the tampon stage of life.
Cox, who is currently 58 years old, altered her lines to reflect the "joys" of menopause in a stunning split video that she posted on Instagram.
Cox is shown wearing extremely identical purple gym clothes in both the 1985 commercial and the contemporary one, which is cut back and forth.
In the video, 2022 Cox asked:
"Did your life completely change because of menopause?"
"Still getting hot flashes? Let me tell it to ya straight."
Cox then shared:
"Menopause will change the way you feel about getting older. Menopause will eat you alive."
"It's horrible. Nothing else can do that."
"Plus, you get the bonus of drier skin and getting bald patches. Now that's something."
Cox sums up the struggles of menopause:
"Remember, there is nothing good about menopause. It can change the way you feel about getting older."
Fans and fellow celebrities alike chimed in, applauding Cox for both her humor and her honesty.
