#1 Catherine Zeta-Jones

Dawnette Knight took Michale Douglas's film Basic Instinct to heart when she began terrorizing his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones. She fell in love with Douglas through his acting in movies and began sending Zeta-Jones threatening letters as well as several violent messages to the actor himself. In one note she wrote, 'We are going to slice her up like meat on a bone and feed her to the dogs'. She was sentenced to three years in prison in 2005 but apologized to Douglas and Zeta-Jones, who claimed that she was having nightmares and nearly had a heart attack and breakdown over the incident.

#2 John Cusack

John Cusack's stalker made some strange and disturbing threats against his manhood. Marieretno Subali staked out the actors home for over three months before making contact with him. She then began circling his home nightly in hopes of spotting the actor and then sent his family disturbing emails and messages. Claiming to a witch, she threatened Cusack with a spell that would render him impotent for life. She claimed that he visited her in dreams and raped her. He filed a suit against the witch and got a restraining order against her in 2016.

#3 Madonna

In the early 1990s, Robert Dewey Hoskins began stalking the popular music icon, in a most unusual way to try and persuade her to marry him. He threatened to slice her from ear to ear if she refused his proposals. He often broke into her estate and was eventually captured after being shot by her security while trying to scale the 7-foot fence.

#4 Robert Dewey Hoskins

At the trial, Madonna revealed that she was having nightmares when she could fall asleep but reported that she had gone for weeks with any rest because of Hoskins and his threats. In 1996 he was convicted by a jury and served a 10-year prison sentence but was sent to a mental health facility after being deemed violently psychotic. In 2012 he escaped the mental hospital but he was recaptured after a week and sent back to a prison for mentally disturbed inmates.

#5 Bjork

When Ricardo Lopez was just 21, his obsession with singer Bjork took a deadly turn. He was disturbed and jealous when the Icelandic pop star began dating Goldie. He wrote about his 'deliciously sadistic plan' in his 803-page diary. He had creatic a homemade sulphuric acid bomb, placed it inside a book, and mailed it Bjork's Icelandic home from his home in Florida in 1996.

#6 Ricardo Lopez

As Lopez awaited the arrival of his parcel to get to Bjork, he videotaped himself for 36 hours. The long video ends with Lopez committing suicide by shooting himself. Police discovered his body after four days, leaving only one day to intercept the package en route to Bjork. British detectives were able to intercept the bomb and the singer did not find out about the incident for days, learning about it on the news.

#7 Taylor Swift

Her stalker threatened to kill any man who came between them. Timothy Sweet believed that he and the pop singer were married and that he needed to protect his wife from the leeches in the music business. But then he began sending her disturbing letters, emails, and social media posts. At one point he threatened the life of US Secretary Of State, John Kerry because she had been photographed with the official. In 2014 she was granted a 3-year restraining order against Sweet only after he threatened to kill her parents.

#8 Jodie Foster

One of the most well-known celebrity stalker cases in history, Jodie Foster, who was young at the time, got the attention of a crazed man who would stop at no lengths to impress her. John Hinckley Jr. attempted to assassinate President Ronald Reagan in 1981. The 25-year-old was placed in a hospital after he shot the president, having been deemed by a court that he was not guilty by reason of insanity.

#9 John Hinckley Jr.

After being in the hospital for a year, he continued to stalk the actress through letters and poems. One of the poems sent to the courts said, "I think I'll stab you first, deep into your bloody heart, it should quench my thirst." Hinckley was released in 2016 from a government mental institution after 35-years in lockup. He is now in a half-way house that is under surveillance and he is required to wear a security ankle bracelet and check in with probation and mental health officers weekly.

#10 Jennifer Love-Hewitt

Diana Napolis accused Jennifer Love-Hewitt of being part of a Satanic conspiracy. She had confronted the actress at an awards ceremony and told the actress that she was using mind controlling technology to persudae people to do Satan's bidding. Napoli was arrested for making death threats and stalking in 2003 after she was also accusing director Steven Spielberg of running a Satanic cult that several celebrities wer a part of. She claimed that Spielberg had inserted a "soul cathing" microchip in her brain. He filed a restraining order in 2001 and after spending time in a psychiatric hospital she confessed to her stalking of the director, Love-Hewitt, and three other actors. She was sentenced to five years probation.

#11 Steven Spielberg

Spielberg had endured another stalker just a few years before Napoli began harassing him. In 1998, John Norman was sentenced to 25 years in prison after being caught at the directors home with duct tape and handcuffs. He had threatened to rape Spielberg in front of his wife, but Spielberg was away from his home when Norman was caught inside. At the trial, Spielberg claimed that he believed that he would have been raped and killed had he and his family been at home when Norman was caught inside his bedroom.

Turman's stalker was sentenced to 3 years probation and psychiatric treatments after sending disturbing packages to the actress at her home. Jack Jordan was convicted of aggravated harassment and stalking in 2008 after he admitted showing up at her home, contacting her relatives and leaving disturbing notes including a photo of a headless bride. Uma and her family all testified at his trial.

Jordan was arrested again in 2011 for violating his five-year probation and restraining order by trying to contact Thurman once again. He was then sentenced to 7 years in lockup in a mental institution pending his progress. In court, he tried to escape but was captured by police before getting away.

It was in January of 2014 when a crazed fan named Joshua J. Corbett broke into her home to terrorize the famed actress. She was sleeping when she heard someone in the house and woke in time to see Corbett trying to locate her bedroom and his inside a closet with her cell phone to call 911. She told police how to gain entry into her house and the operator kept her on the line until they arrived.

In his numerous love letters to Bullock, Corbett called the actress his wife and her son Loius their son. When police searched his home later, they discovered 30 illegally owned guns of all types. However, the information could not be used against him in the trial because the information had apparently been obtained illegally and his rights were reportedly violated while in custody. He pled not guilty to all charges.
