Fraternidade Crypto accidentally opened a notepad on his screen during a live stream at the end of August, exposing the secret keys protecting his cryptocurrency accounts.

Actually, a private key is like a password in the world of cryptocurrencies. It is a very important code that is needed to check transactions and prove ownership of blockchain assets.

When you think about how these open "logins" can lead to losses of thousands or even tens of thousands of pounds, you can see how bad it would be if these keys were accidentally shown during a live broadcast.

Fraternidade Crypto swiftly concluded the livestream as panic set in, attempting a hurried transfer of funds from his accounts.

In that heart-pounding moment, the reality sank in - a mere matter of seconds had seen a staggering $60,000 worth of cryptocurrency vanish into thin air.

In a heartfelt video, the reporter from Sao Paulo, who was upset and crying, pleaded with the unknown thief to give back the stolen money.

In a strange turn of events that seemed almost magical, the thief listened to the plea and returned most of the stolen money. This was a small sign of hope in the middle of a rough crypto situation.

He explained: "Yesterday was one of the worst days of my life. I kind of froze at the time, as you see on the video. I stopped the video about 15 to 20 seconds after. I started to get bad, shaking you know?

"I needed to transfer the assets as soon as possible. The assets were in a liquidity pool — they weren't in the wallet, only about $100 or so."

"And then I don't remember. It went so fast and I got really bad. When I went to transfer the assets, an error sign appeared. I couldn't believe that I was going through this."

After telling the cops what happened, he returned to his Discord channel to find comfort and help.

He was surprised to hear from someone who wanted to talk to him.

He said: "I almost told him, 'I can't talk now, I'm f***** up here."

Incredibly however it was at this point he realised the man he was speaking to on the phone was the very same person who'd taken $60k from him.

The man on the other end revealed he had sent him $50k back and said: "I f***** up here. I know what I did was bad."

After that, he hung up.

“I won’t say his name because the guy returned it and there’s no reason for me to screw him, even though what he did was wrong.

"Maybe I went soft… I’m ashamed of going through this, I’m embarrassed. I just want to sleep.”

Fraternidade Crypto revealed that he's still in the process of recovering the final $10,000, although he has chosen not to involve the police.

Instead, he has made the decision to keep his livestream videos online as a cautionary tale, serving as a stark warning to others about the perils and risks associated with situations like his own.
