The miracle of childbirth is a magical thing, and anybody who has had the wonderful opportunity to have a child will tell you the same thing — it's life changing. When that moment finally arrives after nine long months of preparing to be a parent and you finally get to look at the tiny little human being you and your partner have created, it's incredible. However, for one couple in Quebec, Canada, this miraculous moment was much, much different.

#1 Paul Servat and Barbara Bienvenue were expecting quintuplets, and they couldn't be happier..
#2 The couple was shocked with all of the support they were receiving from the community, but they really couldn't believe what happened next.

#3 When Paul arrived at the hospital with his pregnant partner, the hospital staff couldn't find any of Bienvenue's paperwork saying that she was pregnant...
#4 Oddly enough, a nurse then provided the couple with blood test results that determined that she wasn't pregnant at all! Doctors explained that Bienvenue may have experienced pseudocyesis — a condition better known as a phantom pregnancy.

#5 However, a relative of Bienvenue had some other information...

#6 Paul was completely shocked to hear one of Barbara's relatives say that this was apparently not the first time this has happened. The relative said Paul's girlfriend had once lied to a past partner about being pregnant. Servat was devastated to find out that he may have been lied to as well.

#7 But through the support of his family and friends, he is fighting through this tough time and even trying to make some good out of it.
What happened to Servat is almost unthinkable. It's hard to imagine the pain and grief he is going through. However, as he deals with his emotions, he is still attempting to do the admirable thing by returning the donations.
