#1: Who doesn't know Quasimodo?

He is the bell ringer form the Disney Film "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" who always hides himself in the cathedral because he looked weird. Lately, researchers found that this hunchback was a real person. A very old man who was living in 19th century, Henry Sibson, admitted that there was a stonemason who worked at Notre Dame. This man was also a carver and a loner. More surprisingly he was a hunchback. A skeleton of a hunchback was also found in Paris at that time. Coincidence? May be not! In Disney version, Quasimodo was also carver and loner. Victor Hugo, the author of this story might have been inspired by this hunchback who really existed at that time so he created the character of Quasimodo.

#5: Pocahontas

Everyone knows Pocahontas as a free spirited Indian girl who loved nature but not everyone knows that she was a real person. The real Pocahontas was a Virginian Indian woman who was born in Matoaka. After her marriage, she was known as Rebecca Rolfe. The Disney version is based on her real life story. She was a daughter of a charismatic Indian man named Powhatan. In 1607, she saved an Englishman named John Smith when her father tried to kill him, just like the Disney version. The only difference was that, at that time Pocahontas was 11 years old when she met John Smith who was already 28 years old. The real relationship between them was not as romantic as shown in the movie. They were not in love but were just good friends.

#6: Jack Sparrow

The story of Captain Jack Sparrow from the Disney films "Pirates of the Caribbean" is also based on the real journey of a real pirate very long time ago. During that time, he was the most respected pirate who successfully became the best raider in the history of pirates. His real name was Bartholomew Roberts, but people called him Black Bart because of his dark eyes and black locks. One popular thing about him is, he was really merciless when it comes to fighting. The character of Jack Sparrow is inspired by him, except the fact that Black Bart was much creepier than Jack Sparrow. At least Jack Sparrow had a sense of humor.
