Lately, researchers found that this hunchback was a real person. A very old man who was living in 19th century, Henry Sibson, admitted that there was a stonemason who worked at Notre Dame. This man was also a carver and a loner. More surprisingly he was a hunchback. A skeleton of a hunchback was also found in Paris at that time. Coincidence? May be not! In Disney version, Quasimodo was also carver and loner. Victor Hugo, the author of this story might have been inspired by this hunchback who really existed at that time so he created the character of Quasimodo.

The only difference was that, at that time Pocahontas was 11 years old when she met John Smith who was already 28 years old. The real relationship between them was not as romantic as shown in the movie. They were not in love but were just good friends.
