The assault on Swift happened back in 2013 at a pre-concert meet and greet. According to Swift, Mueller lifted up the back of her skirt and groped her bottom. This is the photo from that incident.

Days after Swift's management team reported the appalling incident, Mueller was fired from the radio station that he worked at. He claimed to be innocent and, in turn, attempted to sue the star for defamation of character.

When he lost his lawsuit, Taylor Swift countersued him for the assault. She won the suit earlier this year and finally received her payment for the settlement in the most disrespectful way. Mueller still insists that he never did anything wrong.

The DJ not only tried to sue Swift, but he also went after her mother and the radio handler, Frank Bell, for defamation of character. He was asking for $3 million in damages saying that their false accusations sabotaged his career. This is a sketch of Mueller while on the stand during the trial.

Swift was quoted, during the trial, saying that she is not upset with her bodyguard. "I’m critical of your client sticking his hand under my skirt and grabbing my ass."

The judge quickly dismissed Mueller's case as he found no evidence that Swift was guilty of defamation. Here you can see a sketch from the trial depicting Swift seated on the left while Mueller was on the stand.

Swift responded to Mueller's ridiculous lawsuit by countersuing him for sexual assault.

Come to find out, she was only suing the DJ for $1 since the point of the lawsuit was not for monetary gain. She did it for the principle and to stand up against those who think sexual assault is acceptable.

"I want to thank Judge William J Martinez and the jury for their careful consideration. My attorneys Doug Baldridge, Danielle Foley, Jay Schaudies and Katie Wright for fighting for me and anyone who feels silenced by a sexual assault, and especially anyone who offered their support throughout this four-year ordeal and two-year long trial process."

"I acknowledge the privilege that I benefit from in life, in society and in my ability to shoulder the enormous cost of defending myself in a trial like this. My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard. Therefore, I will be making donations in the near future to multiple organizations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves."

Her lawyer explained that she was just trying to let people know that you can say no to someone trying to put their hands on you. Grabbing someone's rear end is an assault and wrong no matter who you are.

Swift won her lawsuit back in August and has received her $1 settlement payment in the form of a Sacagawea coin. Can you believe that? Mueller "intended the coin featuring a prominent Native American woman as a final jab at the singer in a case her side called a win for all women."

Mueller made the decision to pay this way since Swift's $1 settlement was a form of symbolism for women to speak out against sexual assault, so he created his own form of symbolism in defiance of the verdict against him. The coin was meant as a sarcastic jab at the issue of women's rights.

"I mean if this is all about women’s rights," Mueller told the AP. "It’s a little poke at them, a little bit I mean, I think they made this into a publicity stunt, and this is my life."

Even though this was a super petty gesture on Mueller's part, it will not distract people from the point that sexual assault is an issue that should be taken seriously and no victim should feel responsible for their assaults or the consequences that come when going public.
