Metallica's record-breaking Los Angeles concert had an unexpected guest, Storm the dog, who was looked after and reunited with her owner. However, Metallica advises against bringing pets to their shows.
Dog Goes Missing From Home And Sneaks Into Metallica Concert
With their current tour, Metallica has been shattering records, and it seemed like everyone attended their most recent performance in Los Angeles.
Major A-Listers like Jason Momoa, Tommy Lee, and John Travolta were present, and they even danced with the crowd alongside the metal enthusiasts.
Nevertheless, despite not having a ticket, one four-legged spectator was able to view the performance.
Yes, a cute dog named Storm made it into the sold-out concert at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on August 25.
Nobody is completely sure how the dog got past security, but she was seen during the heavy metal concert sitting among the audience.
Although she was a good girl, when Storm didn't go with the other admirers, officials started to worry about her welfare.
She was taken in for the night by the Animal Health & Wellness Organization because it was clear that she wasn't looking for an autograph.
Arizbeth Hurtado, the dog's owner, soon showed up to pick up the dog after the group uploaded a message on Facebook, which they did out of fear that the dog had been left at the performance.
It turns out that the metalhead mut lives not far from the stadium and made the decision to attend the sold-out performance rather than spend time with her family.
Her owner thanked everyone for locating her cherished dog and added hashtags for the stadium and rescue organization, writing: “Our baby is home and safe!!! Thank you guys.”
Hurtado made light of the experience by saying in a later interview with PetHelpful that they had "learned something new" about Storm.
She told the website: “She is home and safe! We learned something new about her… she is apparently a huge Metallica fan who decided to sneak out for the concert!”
Storm's five minutes of fame, however, were far from done as Metallica even posted about her on social media.
They shared the heartwarming tale and a photo of the puppy in the middle of a performance in a post on X that got people's tails wagging.
It read: “You might have heard we had a four-legged fan join us for #M72LA!”
“Despite reports to the contrary, our friend Storm snuck out of her home adjacent to @SoFiStadium and made her way to the gig all by herself.”
“After a full night taking in the show with her #MetallicaFamily, Storm was safely reunited with her actual family the next day.”
“She had a great time listening to her favorite songs, including 'Barx Æterna', 'Master of Puppies', and 'The Mailman That Never Comes'."
Metallica made it clear that pets should avoid their sold-out concerts, though.
They added: “…And in case you were wondering, no. You definitely shouldn’t bring your furry friends to the #M72 World Tour. But this dog sure did have her day…”
