Drunk Dad Left Hungry Baby In The Car, Now See What's In This Cop's Left Hand
#1 On Monday, Bernalillo County deputies Roger Garcia and Sam Rodriquez responded to a call about a drunk driver.
The two deputies caught up to Jeffrey Salas, 24, who was driving drunk with his three young children in the passenger seats. The deputies were outraged but tried to stay professional. They noticed that the youngest child was not even buckled into his seat.
#2 The deputies soon learned that the children were cold, hungry, and neglected.
The children, 5 years, 2 years, and 2-months-old, said they could not even remember when they last ate. The deputies were moved, and wanted to help the children feel comfortable and safe.
They called three other officers to the scene to bring them some much needed supplies. "We need back-up bring us some McDonald's and baby wipes," they most likely said.
#3 Garcia mixed baby formula by the side of the road using a thermos and the car's heater.
And Rodriguez wrapped the 2-month-old boy in a blanket and fed him the formula! The police even changed the kids' dirty diapers. "I've always baby-sat since I was a kid, but I've never done it with a gun on my belt in the passenger seat of a patrol car with a rifle next to me," Rodriguez said.
The children are now with the Children, Youth and Families Department.
