Working in the entertainment industry is just like working anywhere else. You are not always going to like the people you work with. That is just a part of life. Some people are just going to rub you the wrong way, it is up to you on how you handle it. You might want to punch that person you dislike in the face, but take it from these celebrities, it is much better to settle things quietly.
Eight Celebrity Feuds That Ended Peacefully
Madonna and Elton John
Madonna and Elton John are two of the most over-the-top pop stars of all time. They were close friends for many years. All of that ended when John allegedly said something horrible about Madonna. The pair ran into each other, back in 2012, while at a Paris restaurant. John apologized for his big mouth and said that Madonna graciously accepted his apology, and the pair sat down and talked for awhile.
Angelina Jolie and Jon Voight
Angelina's relationship with her father was strained for many years. It all started when he had an affair which broke up his marriage to her mother. She ended up pushing him away further back in 2002 when he made comments about her mental health publicly. When Jolie's mother passed away in 2007, she decided to work on rebuilding her relationship with her father. He is now an active presence in her life.
Debbie Reynolds and Elizabeth Taylor
These two Hollywood legends started feuding when Reynold's husband, Eddie Fisher, left her so he could date Liz Taylor. Once the 1960s came around, both women had new husbands and outlooks on life. They buried the hatchet and went on to appear in several movies together.
Jay-Z and Nas
These two titans of the New York rap scene were fiercely competitive and often took shots at each other in their songs as they battled to the top of the music charts. The two ended up making up back in 2005 when Naz joined Jaz-Z on stage for a performance. These two have been on great terms ever since then.
Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth
These two 90210 stars had a tumultuous relationship off and on-screen. Garth had even mentioned one time that there were times when they wanted to claw each other's eyes out. The pair eventually made amends with each other, and Garth has been famously supportive of Doherty while she battled breast cancer.
Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano
It seems that Doherty has a hard time getting along with her female co-stars. These two feuded so much that Doherty left the show during season three. However, according to Milano, they have made amends with each other. Milano has been quoted as saying, "What happened 15 years ago or however long ago that was, it's irrelevant."
Jay Leno and David Letterman
This feud began after Letterman, already a late night anchor at NBC, was passed up to take over The Tonight Show for Leno. This prompted him to leave the network and begin what was called "the late-night wars." After they left their shows things seem to have improved, and Letterman even referred to Leno as "the funniest guy I've ever known."
Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie
These reality TV best friends became enemies after Richie started to feel snubbed by Hilton and her bigger media presence. Richie was so petty that she hosted a party that had a viewing of Hilton's famous sex tape. Eventually, these two made up and did a couple more seasons of The Simple Life together. I don't know if I could have been that nice to Richie after a stunt like that.
