One of Elon Musk's children has asked a court in California to accept her new name and gender, claiming she no longer wants to be related to her well-known and successful father "in any way, shape, or form." Musk's daughter filed paperwork with a county court in Los Angeles not long after turning 18 this year. She asks to be given the legal name Vivian Jenna Wilson. Her mother, Justine Wilson, who is Musk's ex-wife and the mother of five of his seven children, has the last name, Wilson.
Elon Musk’s Daughter Doesn’t Want To Be Related To Him
The transgender daughter of tech entrepreneur Elon Musk abandoned him after she changed her name.
New documents reveal that she used to go by the name Xavier Alexander Musk, but she changed it because she does not want to "live with or wish to be associated with my biological father in any way, shape, or form."
For safety reasons, the new name has been redacted; however, the new birth certificate reflects the woman's new gender identification and name, which eliminates the last name "Musk."
When she turned 18, the modification was made in the Santa Monica location of the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
Justine Wilson, who was Musk's wife until 2008, is her mother.
Musk has in the past spoken controversial things about the transgender community.
In 2020, he tweeted: “I support trans, but all these pronouns are an aesthetic nightmare.”
Musk recently made light of the fact that he was "doing my part" to stop American women's declining fertility rates.
He recently boasted on Twitter that "I'm doing my part" in the "demographic disaster" that has been the USA's birth rate levels for the past 50 years.
On his controversial Twitter account, the CEO of SpaceX posted a graph demonstrating how the US fertility rate for women has decreased from 3.5 in 1960 to less than 1.5 in 2020.
"USA birth rate has been below minimal sustainable levels for 50 years," read the tweet that accompanied the graph.
Musk added that "the richer someone is, the fewer kids they have" in a series of related tweets.
But claimed: "I am the rare exception."
Most of the people he knew, according to the founder of Tesla, had "zero or one kid."
"Past two years have been a demographic disaster," he added in a follow-up tweet.
Then Musk made a humorous remark about how he was assisting the situation.
He wrote: "I mean, I’m doing my part haha."
