What has Lindsay Lohan been up to lately? Over the years, that question has resulted in some pretty wild and crazy answers. There have been DUIs, that time when she was accused of stealing a necklace, when she swore that her Oprah-produced reality show would be a comeback (and she was late for filming or refused to film), and so many more moments. If you’re a fan of her acting, which you probably are because the girl definitely has some serious talent, then you’re pretty sad that she can’t seem to make a real comeback.
Every once in a while, photos will circulate of the star online, and they’re not usually super flattering. It always makes you wonder what is going on in her life and if you’re ever going to her in another movie ever again. Here are 15 photos caught of Lindsay Lohan that were pretty embarrassing.
#1 One Eye Shut
It’s hard to know what is going on here. Is this actually a Photoshopped picture that is making the rounds on the Internet? Is this real? Was this from her party girl days when she was drinking a lot? That really seems like the only logical explanation.
This photo definitely makes you upset since you probably grew up watching Lindsay Lohan in The Parent Trap. That was an absolutely classic movie. You love everything about it, from the moment when the girls bonded over eating Oreos with peanut butter and when they switched places. It’s not even possible to be a millennial and not adore this film. Just saying. So every time that you see Lindsay looking kind of rough, it just hurts your millennial heart.
#2 In Court
This photo was taken when Lindsay was appearing in court — most likely during the time that she was accused of stealing a necklace from a store — and just that fact alone is enough to make you SMH.
You never want to think of a beloved actress as getting into legal trouble and having to go to court. You want your celebrity idols to be happy and healthy and successful. You want to read that they have fallen in love or gotten the role of their dreams or preferably both of those things. You don’t want to hear that they have reportedly stolen something. And let’s be honest: Lindsay’s face looks kind of thin and gaunt and sunken here. It’s not the way that you are used to seeing her.
#3 Confusing AF
This photo is just all kinds of confusing. Lindsay looks much older than the age that she actually is, and it makes you wonder where this photo was taken and what was going on.
One eyebrow is higher than the other, one eye looks bigger than the other, her lips look like they have been plumped and gotten bigger, and her cheeks look kind of sunken. Again, this might have been totally Photoshopped. You have no idea. It can be hard to know what’s real and what’s not when it comes to celebrities, especially those stars that have been in the news for things that aren’t always super happy or positive. Whatever is happening, you’re not a fan, and you want Lindsay to embrace her natural beauty because she really is beautiful.
#4 What Is She Wearing?
No doubt about it, Lindsay is wearing a strange outfit here, and it’s much different than the elegant and sophisticated outfits that you often see her wearing. This isn’t very flattering and it’s not something that you would picture her in.
Is that a bathing suit? And pants that are supposed to be a beach cover-up? The shiny silver one-piece seems to be a weird texture and the pants are like those fishnet leggings that you sometimes wear on Halloween but wouldn’t really wear any other time of the year. This is just kind of a surprising outfit choice. There are so many bathing suit and cover up options that she could have chosen from, especially when you’re a celebrity with tons of money and resources. Just saying.
#5 Pretty Angry
Whenever you see photos like this of Lindsay Lohan, there are two thoughts that go through your mind: this isn’t that flattering and yet she’s still beautiful.
You can’t argue with the fact that the star is definitely pretty. In a photo like this one, she looks super pissed off but she also looks kind of good. She’s still got good hair and a good outfit and nails and accessories. This picture is a bit disturbing since she has such an angry expression on her face. Maybe she’s just mad at the pap who is snapping the photo. She wouldn’t be the first celebrity to get annoyed at having their privacy taken away (and she won’t be the last since this is, unfortunately, an ongoing problem).
#6 Smoking Hot… Or Not
That’s definitely a cigarette in Lindsay’s hand and she is telling you pretty much not to say anything. Since young girls have looked up to her as kind of a role model (or at least they used to when she starred in more family-friendly movies), it’s not a good look for her.
It makes you sad to see her like this because you know that she has so much potential to look gorgeous and fashionable. You’ve seen it before, after all. You’ve seen tons of photos of her looking amazing and stylish and hot. Her makeup looks a bit smudged and messy and her hair looks like it’s pretty tousled from the wind, so it’s just not the best that you’ve ever seen her, and you know that this doesn’t really look like her. You’re just going to forget about this.
#7 Mug Shot
Anytime that you see a celebrity get into the kind of trouble that results in a mug shot, it’s a bit of a shock. You don’t expect stars to be arrested or even put in jail. You just don’t. You think that they are so successful and up there in the world that nothing can hurt them and they can do no wrong. But when they get into hot water, you realize that they are only human and that they can make the wrong choices and make mistakes just like anyone else.
Lindsay Lohan has gotten a DUI before (actually, she’s gotten a few) and this is one of her mug shots. Just seeing the Parent Trap star in an orange jumpsuit is enough to give you a bit of pause. You just don’t even believe what you’re seeing and it seems like she shouldn’t be wearing that at all.
#8 An LBD… Kind Of
It’s pretty common to see a celebrity rocking an LBD on the red carpet… or anywhere, really. It’s a classic style choice that pretty much always looks good and suits any occasion.
Lindsay is kind of wearing an LBD here, but it’s not the best one that you’ve ever seen. Okay, that’s you being kind of nice. Because it’s really a rough-looking dress. It’s just got too much going on. The bottom is kind of frilly and would look better if the top of the dress was more of a plain shape and pattern, but the top has this weird criss-cross thing happening that you can’t really get down with. It’s not flattering and she should have chosen something else for sure. Sorry, Lindsay. Just not your best outfit ever.
#9 Shades Of Grey
Lindsay is wearing a lot of grey clothing in this photo and it seems like she’s having a pretty bad outfit day. Her jacket is okay, but the pants look like super shiny jeans and are kind of strange, and then the grey top is super large and doesn’t suit her.
She also has that weird expression on her face once again — you know, the one eye open, one eye closed thing — and that really makes you wonder what is going on. Is she just really tired? Did someone take a photo way too fast and she was caught mid-blink or something? You really have no idea and you have tons of questions. But it’s not like anyone is ever going to tell you the answers. This is just going to remain a big mystery. Sigh.
#10 Sitting Pretty
This was probably a photo taken by a pap, so in a way, it’s not super fair to say that Lindsay doesn’t look amazing here because you probably wouldn’t look 100 percent amazing if someone followed you around and took random photos of you.
But that being said, she looks like a bit of a mess here, and her lipstick also looks like it’s getting smudged. Or like she put it on without a mirror. Which, let’s be honest, you do sometimes. Because a girl has to do what a girl has to do and if you need lipstick, you need lipstick, regardless of the whole mirror situation. How do celebs handle having their privacy ruined all the time? You can’t even imagine. You would probably change outfits 100 times before leaving the house every day.
#11 Passed Out
Lindsay is definitely just sleeping in this photo, not passed out because of something she took, but of course photos like this get people talking and wondering and gossiping. It’s just the nature of being a celebrity.
She does look super tired, though, and like she hasn’t gotten sleep in weeks even though that probably wasn’t actually the case. This photo absolutely doesn’t capture her natural beauty because, well, no one would look good if someone took a photo of them sleeping. You definitely wouldn’t. Don’t even try to pretend. Sure, some people look angelic and peaceful when they’re fast asleep, but not everyone, and apparently not Lindsay. So although it’s not the best photo ever of the actress, it’s kind of comforting to know that even stars look like this sometimes.
#12 Fallen Down
What was happening here?! You can be pretty sure that there was some serious partying going on when this photo was taken of Lindsay. There’s really no other explanation for someone falling down onto the floor like this.
Okay, so technically she could have tripped over something, but, well, there’s really nothing in the photo that she could have fallen over. She’s walking on carpet and there are no objects in her way or anything like that. You hate that photos like this of the star exist because they just make people say that there’s no way she will ever have a comeback or become a serious actress again. And you definitely don’t want that to be true. All you want is for her to be her old self again.
#13 What?
Lindsay posted this on her Instagram account a few days ago, and it really makes you wonder why. What was she trying to say with this picture? What was she trying to accomplish?
You also have to wonder why she captioned this photo with the hashtag #life. That just makes no sense. But maybe you should just get used to the fact that sometimes, celebs do things that make zero sense at all, and Lindsay has definitely kept fans guessing over the years. She’s just a very mysterious person. And, honestly, it seems like she likes it that way, especially when you go by this photo. After all, this wasn’t a photo that someone else styled and took. It was her idea and she posted it. So she clearly meant it.
#14 Too Thin
There’s a lot happening in this picture and it all makes you think that Lindsay shouldn’t dye her hair such a light blonde. The thing is that color doesn’t flatter everyone and you really think that she looks best as a redhead. Having red hair is pretty hard to pull off but she can pull it off and look gorgeous. So why not stick to that color?!
You also aren’t a big fan of how skinny Lindsay looks in this photo. It reminds you of those super skinny days when she was hanging out with an equally emaciated Nicole Richie and the two of them were always going out on the town. Some of those photos were pretty disturbing and made you think that something serious was going on.
#15 Working Out
Look, it’s not like you look like the picture of beauty every time that you head to the gym or a yoga class. Sometimes you put some effort into your workout look and wear a cute athleisure look and other times you don’t really care that much and wear just whatever. So you’re not really about to shame a celebrity for not wearing the best outfit to the gym or to work out with a personal trainer.
But Lindsay’s ribs seem to be sticking out in this photo and you can’t really get on board with that. Her weight has gone up and down over the years — and by up and down, you mean she has either looked thin or incredibly thin, because she has never looked heavy — and it just seems like she’s not the healthiest that she could be. You really wish that Lindsay would get healthy and happy and start acting again. Is that really too much to ask for?!
