With the holiday season upon us, it's a good time to educate the masses. Many scammers will be out, trying to swindle you out of your hard-earned money with fake knock off products. Here is how you can tell the difference.
1. Christmas Trees
The quickest way to tell the difference between a real and a fake tree is to look for needles on the floor around the tree.
2. Fake Fake Butter
We've got a Russian stacking doll situation with this one: "isn't it butter" is a knock-off of "I can't believe it's not Butter," which is a knock-off of real butter.
3. Chanel No 5
Some people put an awful lot of effort into their counterfit productions. With a price tag over $100 a bottle, they've got a good reason to make good fakes.
4. Arm & Hatchet
Wait a second, isn't it a different tool that accompanies the "Arm" in the name brand version of this product?
5. Burberry Belts
With a lot of knock offs, it's easy to tell a fake because the quality of the product obviously looks and feels inferior to the real deal.
6. Louis Vuitton Bags
There are so many counterfeit purses and bags out there. The nice thing is that if you get a convincing fake, you'll have more money left over to keep in the purse.
7. Frans Tromers
This must be the weird German cousin of the Transformers.
8. Jordans
You've got to have super human vision to see the differences in some of these products.
9. Cohiba Cigars
Man, they even have off-brand cigars. If a brand is important to you, study up on what makes that brand superior and inspect every product for the level of quality that earned that brand their recognition.
10. Panburger Partner
It's great that this off brand of "Hamburger Helper" didn't mind making up a word so long as they kept the alliteration.
