#1. Roseanne Barr

A 17-year-old Roseanne Barr gave up her daughter, Brandi Brown, for adoption in 1970. The two later reunited, and Brown worked as a production assistant on "Roseanne."

Barr has four other children: Jessica (1975), Jennifer (1976), and Jake (1978), with first husband Bill Pentland, and Buck (1995) with third husband Ben Thomas.

#2. Clark Gable

Clark Gable had a daughter with Loretta Young, with whom he was having an affair, around 1935. The baby was placed in an orphanage after she was born, and Young ended up going back and adopting her own baby 19 months later. Although, the girl looked a lot like Gable, he never acknowledged that he was her father.

Gable was married five times. His daughter, Judy Lewis, was born in 1935 of an affair with actress Loretta Young. In 1961, his fifth wife, Kay Williams, gave birth to his only son, John Clark Gable, four months after the actor's death.

#3. Joni Mitchell

In her early twenties, Joni Mitchell gave birth to a daughter, Kelly Dale Anderson, whom she gave up for adoption. The two met for the first time in 2001.

Mitchell was married twice, but never had more children.

#4. Albert Einstein

Many believe that Albert Einstein's daughter Lieserl, whom he conceived with first wife Mileva Marić in 1902, was placed up for adoption. If not, she may have died from scarlet fever.

Einstein and Marić later had two sons, Hans (b. 1904) and Eduard Einstein (b. 1910).

Singer Patti Smith put her newborn daughter up for adoption in 1967, when she was 21 years old.

She later had two children with husband Fred "Sonic" Smith, son Jackson (b. 1982) and daughter Jesse (b. 1987).

David Crosby had a son, James Raymond, with a woman in 1962, whom they put up for adoption. Raymond and Crosby later reunited and even performed together on stage and in the studio.

Crosby has three other children: Erika (with Jackie Guthrie), Donvan (with ex-girlfriend Debbie Donovan), and Django (with wife Jan Dance). He is also the biological of Melissa Etheridge's two children with Julie Cypher

#7. Kate Mulgrew

"Orange Is the New Black" actress Kate Mulgrew gave up her daughter for adoption when she was just starting out in her career. The two reunited in 2001. She is quoted as saying, "Abortion does not compute with my philosophy."

Mulgrew also has two sons, Ian and Alexander, with ex-husband Robert Egan. She is married to Tim Hagan.

#8. Duane Lee Chapman

When he was a teenager, Duane Lee "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman's girlfriend, Debbie White, had a baby without ever telling him she was pregnant. She soon committed suicide, and the baby was given up for adoption. Chapman, who never knew of the child's existence, met his son, Christopher Hecht, as an adult.

Chapman has been married five times and has a total of 12 children.

#9. Mercedes Ruehl

Oscar-winning actress Mercedes Ruehl placed her son, Christopher, up for adoption in 1976. The two later reunited.

Ruehl and her husband, David Geiser, adopted their son, Jake, in 1995. Christopher is Jake's godfather.

When she was 20 years old, adult film star Linda Lovelace had a son, whom her mother put up for adoption.

Lovelace was married to abusive pornographer Chuck Traynor in the 1970s. She later had two children with second husband Larry Marchiano, Dominic (b. 1977) and Lindsay (b. 1980).

#11. Kevin Thornton

Celebrity chef Kevin Thornton and his wife, Muriel, gave up their first son for adoption in 1980s. They said that they were very young and unaware that Muriel was pregnant until the baby was born. They later reconnected with their son when he turned 18.

Battlestar Galactica actor Dirk Benedict had a son, John Talbert, in 1968, but Talbert's mother never told Benedict about the pregnancy. Talbert was placed up for adoption. Benedict finally learned about his son in 1998.

Benedict married Toni Hudson in 1986, and the couple has two sons, George and Roland.
