Farmer David Gray of Glenhead Farm in Banton, near Kilsyth, north Lanarkshire, was becoming increasingly frustrated by the deer coming onto his farm and destroying the crops, he decided that a scarecrow, which was more effective than a carrier bag on a stick was needed.

David Gray wanted something that looked like a real person so he ordered the risqué doll and drove her to the field on the back of his quad bike
David Gray says the £4.82 inflatable woman has proven more effective than traditional methods.
The Joker, 50, said: "She has made a much better job of it than my last scarecrow, which was made from a carrier bag on the end of a stick.

As well as guarding the site, the doll who is yet to be named has caused a bit of a stir with locals in the village, reports the Daily Record.
David said: "The reaction from people round here has been great
"We have had loads of people stopping to look at her when they are going past.

"There has almost been a few crashes at the corner where she is because people do a double take when driving past."
David, who has 2,000 sheep and 60 cattle, has lived on the farm all his life.
He also revealed that when he showed a photo of the doll on the back of the quad bike to his elderly mum, she thought she was looking at a snap of her granddaughter Heather, 16, who is studying at agricultural college when not working on the 3,000 acre farm.

David even considered dressing the doll last week.
His wife Fiona, 52, said: "David loves a laugh and is well known for his pranks.
"I can see him raiding my wardrobe for clothes for her but he better not dare."
