Father Pours Boiling Water On Son After Catching Him Alone With His Boyfriend

48 Year old Martin Blackwell poured boiling water over the son of his girlfriend, 23 year old Anthony Gooden and Gooden's partner, 21 year old Marquez Tolbert who were in bed together.

Blackwell shouted ‘get out of my house with all that gay' and dragged them out of the house, leaving them to run door to door to get help. Tolbert's family set up a GoFundMe page for their medical expenses.

The two guys had second and third degree burns to their necks, backs, and heads, placing Gooden in a medically induced coma. Tolbert had skin removed from his thighs to graft his back and is required to wear compression dressings for the next two years. ‘We woke up to boiling hot water. I started screaming uncontrollably and I was pulled out of the house. ‘We ran to the neighbors and called the police. We were just burning. My body was just stinging. It was like a really, really severe kind of stinging. I could hardly think straight. ‘The pain doesn't let you sleep. It's just excruciating, 24 hours a day, and it doesn't go anywhere. It doesn't dial down. It's just there.'

Blackwell is not expected to make bail due to the assistance of the Atlanta Police Department LGBT liaison, who said they could charge Blackwell with a federal hate crime, even though Georgia does not charge for hates crimes on a state level.
