He uses silica cat litter because it's super absorbent, sucks up damp odor, and doesn't smell like the chalky stuff. Fill one sock with the kitty litter and then wrap the other sock around it all to keep it nice and secure. Now place the sock anywhere you like and some moisture will get absorbed overnight. It probably works best right on top of your dashboard, and it doesn't hurt to crack and close the windows a little before you head in for the night.

#4 How It Works

Kitty litter has the remarkable ability to absorb moisture from any space including the inside of your vehicle. Moisture is what makes your car windows fog up. This happens during winter because of the tendency for the temperature inside your car to be very different from the temperature outside during this season.

Note: After creating your fog-absorber, place it in an open space inside your car preferably right on top of your dashboard. Also, try cracking a window for the night for maximum results.
