Fla. Man Claims He Was Speeding Because He Had To Go To Bathroom

LERMONT, Fla. - A Central Florida man was arrested after telling a deputy he was speeding because he had to go to the bathroom and ultimately ended up doing so in the back of a patrol car, officials said.

Lake County sheriff's officials said Carlos Adonis Ramos-Erazo, 24, refused to get out of his vehicle after being nabbed Thursday for going 20 miles over the speed limit. He said he had to go to the bathroom and drove off, hitting the deputy's arm with the vehicle, officials said.

Authorities said the deputy followed the man to his home, where the man tried to run inside, but was shot with a Taser.

Authorities said the man urinated and defecated in the back of the patrol car on the way to the jail.

The man faces charges including fleeing and battery on a law enforcement officer.
