A Florida police officer who caused a horrific car crash after smashing into a woman during a chase has been ticketed for failing to following the department's pursuit policy.
The Florida Highway Patrol released video on Wednesday showing the Ocoee officer speeding through a red light without stopping or slowing down before slamming into a vehicle at 90 miles an hour.
Officer Chris Bonner, 29, was found at fault and received a ticket for 'failing to obey traffic laws' when he ran the red light, the FHP said.
The woman that he hit, Yahaira Castro Montalvo, 26, suffered two broken arms and plans to file a lawsuit, Click Orlando reported.

'If I had known there was a chase going on, I would have stopped and I wouldn't have put my life in danger,' Montalvo said.
Montalvo said the crash happened so fast and was so intense that she has little memory of what happened. She was trapped in the wreck for some time.
'I just remember the hit and waking up ... throughout if I was rolling or going sideways, I don't know,' Montalvo said.
'I ended up with no shoes, no socks, and I just saw my body bleeding and nobody could get me out.'

Montalvo was on her way to work at a Walmart shortly before 5 a.m. on May 12 when the officer hit her. She said she is worried about missing work, WFTV reported.
'This was a needless high-speed pursuit that ran through a red light that violated the Ocoee Police Department's guidelines,' attorney Brian Crews said.
'The police officer's duty is to protect and serve. An officer is never allowed to needlessly endanger the public by a high speed pursuit.'

Bonner, who had his lights and sirens activated, was pursing a stolen car suspect in an earlier armed robbery in Altamonte Springs.
However police policy states than officer must clear an intersection before going through a red light.
Bonner suffered multiple broken bones in the crash and remains in hospital.
He was cited with a moving violation and will have to pay a $164 ticket and will get four points on his license.
