According to the police, a deputy responded to a domestic violence call at their Chesapeake, West Virginia home that evening. Her husband, Ryan Dorsey, accused Rivera of striking him in the head and face. Dorsey had minor injuries to back up his claim and showed the deputies a video of the alleged incident.

WSAZ, a local news station, was the first to report the news. This video captures River handcuffed and dressed down in dark pants and a gray hoodie while at her arraignment. She was released on a $1000 PR bond and later picked up by her father-in-law.
