#1 One Of The Oldest Game Shows Of History
We all can remember the show "The Price Is Right" from our grandparents time. The game show itself can be labelled as one of the oldest in TV history. With Bob Stewart as it's founder, the show was launched in 1956. The host at that time was Bill Cullen. Following some changes in 1972, Bob Barker joined the show as it's next host until his retirement in 2007.
Barker had 35 years of hosting experience under his belt, so it was not easy for CBS to find a replacement of the legend, so CBS continued to play Barker's episodes on TV until they decided upon the next host.

Then came Drew Carey, who made his debut as the third host of the show on October 15, 2007. It took some time for Carey to get settled in the role and now after all these years of successfully running the game show, a former model Gwendolyn Osborne-Smith opens up about who Drew Carey is when the cameras are not rolling.

Smith, 39 spent 12 years of her career on the show. She later resigned and took a new role at her own company, SEG Entertainment Group. During her stay on the show, Smith has worked with both Barker and Carey and here is what she has to say about Carey.
#4 Giving The Models On Set New Identities In His Era
Giving an exclusive interview to Fox News, Smith reveals that things changed drastically when Barker quit the show and Carey filled his shoes. She further revealed that before Carey entered the show, the models felt objectified on the sets. "But when Drew Carey stepped in, he was so very happy to make changes and bring 'Price is Right' in a new era. We were all ready to become personalities rather than just look like models."
#5 He Was Over The Moon Upon Hearing She Is Pregnant
Discussing the old times, Smith says she was nervous to tell Carey of her pregnancy at the time, worried that she might have to make a pick over her career but Carey upon hearing the news reacted complete opposite of what she was expecting, "It was terrifying at first because I didn’t know how Drew Carey was going to react to my news. I thought I was going to have to pick between my personal life and my career. I said to him, 'I have to let you know right now before we move forward because if you don’t want me here we have to talk about it because I am pregnant. I hope you will be supportive of that. He was over the moon. And I was, of course, so relieved and elated."
#6 Carey Celebrates Women And Uplifts Them
Smith reveals that it was the moment she realized how different Carey's period is as compares to the previous host of the show. "He [Carey] was very happy to have the opportunity, through me, to prove the type of man he was and how different he was than Bob Barker’s era. He celebrates women and uplifts them. He thinks it’s magic and incredible women have babies...He supported me throughout the whole time."
#7 Supporting Her On Her Decisions
Talking about her past experience, the model reveals that working with Carey was the best part of her career. He always supported her in her decisions and never judged her for her life choices. "I will always be grateful to Drew. Before I was married, I was a single mother with a daughter and he held a high respect for me because of that. I was working with such a respectable man. I’ve never had any concerns of sexual harassment with him. It was actually the opposite. I was embraced and empowered by working with him."

On her departure from the show, Carey was teary-eyed, "He was happy for me. He and I are good friends and he knows the journey I’ve been on behind the scenes in terms of production and creating."
