All the "Game Of Thrones" fans out there, winter won't be here any time before 2019. As reported by HBO, the eighth and final season of the fantasy series will be released in 2019 along with the other shows on HBO.

As announced by HBO, "Game Of Thrones" Season 8 will return to the TV in 2019. Season 7 of the show aired this past Spring and was considered the hittest Season of the show. The press release also revealed that in addition to the directors David Benioff & D.B. Weiss, David Nutter, and Miguel Sapochnik, the writers for Season 8 will also include Benioff & Weiss, Bryan Cogman and Dave Hill. This means that the fans should be ready for a bigger surprise the coming year.

HBO President, Casey Bloys in a press conference said, "It’s a big season. They’re trying to get a sense of how long it’s going to take them to shoot this." It has also been revealed that in addition to the "Game Of Thrones"the other shows of HBO, "Westworld" and "Watchman" series will be aired in 2019.
Further adding to it, he said, "One of the hallmarks of the show has been how cinematic it is. The show has proven that TV is every bit as impressive and in many cases more so, than film. What they're doing is monumental. What I imagine season 8 will be a big, big show. We've done a lot of great shows, but this one combines the complex characters we love with a huge cinematic scope."

Season 7 of GOT was the most watched season, breaking the records by getting 16.5 million views on the total seven episodes, in which 12.1 million views were on-air thus making it the most watched drama of the history.
Though the year for the final six episodes of season 8 will be aired in 2019, the exact date still has not been decided yet.

Unfortunately for the George R.R fans, the author won't be directing any new episodes of the upcoming Season 8 but according to HBO Martin will co-executive produce the Final Season. Also, it has been suggested that the production for Season 8 started in October which will last until August 2018.

Before the official announcement by HBO, Sophie Turner in an interview already revealed that the Final Season of the series will on-air in 2019 for which she is very excited. The actress also discussed that everyone from GOT family is trying to make the most of the show, not taking for granted, knowing the fact that this is the last Season.
She said, "When we all had the read-through for the final season, it was very, very emotional. For the first time in Thrones history, we had everyone there. All of the Americans wanted to come over. Every single cast member was pretty much there. We’re all kind of feeling the end of it coming. We’re all staying in town a little longer, going out for more meals, trying to get together more. We’re all trying not to take it for granted any more."
