I'd love to go and visit my sister and her family all the way down in Dorset but the thing is, even though I get paid £100,000 per article I write, I simply can't afford to fill up my one litre VW. Sorry, Claire.

But hold on?! Some bloody genius has found a way to get 56% better miles-per-gallon (for his car) using seemingly pretty simple methods.

Grant's motor was getting under 14 miles to the gallon which is frankly awful and was costing his a disgusting amount of cash. So that's when he found a way to get way better millage and save a tonne of money

The sciencey bits sort of go under my head but, then again, I got a C in GCSE chemistry so that's hardly surprising

So he turned his car into a water-hybrid by using distilled water and baking soda obviously.

Having previously only used around 30% of the fuel for actual internal combustion, Grant claims his car is now using 100% of it and, as you know, 100 is a bigger number than 30.

Brilliant. I imagine I'm still far too lazy to actually get it sorted out though.

Sorry Claire (again).
