It seems like we all have that story of losing our wallet. Pretty much one of two things can happen. Either a good Samaritan finds it and does the right thing and returns it, or some lucky bugger finds it and realizes that they just hit the jackpot, takes your money, maybe uses your credit cards, and then you never hear about it again.
But every once in a while you get a story like this.
Far too often we expect the common thief to simply take the cash and toss the rest, so it's impressive to see them take the time to write out a note and to have the decency to not try and use the credit cards. That's some solid forward thinking that you just don't see that often anymore.
While there's no telling whether this thief was a man or a rat, we do know that he made the man he swindled a celebrity in the process. So while he may be out a couple bucks and a metro pass, he'll have a story to last a lifetime.
This is not your common criminal, just some dude down on his luck, seeing an opportunity to make his life a little bit better.
