Hearts Are Racing As Snoop Dogg's Son Decides To Be A Fashion Model

Cordell Broadus has a lot to live up to. His father, Snoop Dogg, has sold 335 million records since he was discovered back in 1992. Snoop Dogg, who temporarily changed his name to Snoop Lion in 2012, is not just a star in the music industry. He is also a director, actor, producer, fashion icon, and a philanthropist who is notorious for his love of fur coats.

Because of his fame, his fans have overlooked his criminal past that includes convictions for possession of firearms, drug possession, preparing drugs for sale, assault, and vandalization which got him banned from the UK for four years. He was also accused of murdering a rival gang member back in 1993. In that case, he was defended by Johnnie Cochran who managed to get him off of the charges.

Snoop also used to be a member of the Rollin '20 Crips gang and admitted to Rolling Stone that he was a pimp from 2003-2004 before giving that all up to spend more time with his family. His incredible history makes Snoop a larger than life character. His son is starting to catch up to him quickly.

Cordell, who is often called Lil' Snoop, is Snoop Dogg's second some with his wife, Shante Taylor. Cordell has a clean-cut image compared to his father's. He went to high school at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. He went on to pursue a bachelor's degree at the University of California. While he was at the university, he was a star athlete with a scholarship that landed him on the college's football team.

A small bit of his father came out in him when he punched a rival team player back in 2013. He got suspended because of it. And, even though he was an up-and-comer for the sport, he quit the team because playing football did not line up with his career ambitions.

He quit playing football saying that he only played in order to gain his father's affections. "I played football for my father because I thought that was the only way he would love me and be a part of my life," he said. "It took me 12 years to realize he loves Cordell Broadus the person, not Cordell Broadus the football player."

With his amazingly good looks and his father having his back, Cordell became a part of the entertainment industry where he appeared on his father's reality TV show. He has also gained work modeling for fashion houses like Phillip Plein and MCM Worldwide.

As his fame begins to gain momentum, there is no doubt that we will see a lot more of Cordell in the future. He is definitely getting people interested in his life as tons of people are flocking to see more of this rising star.

He definitely has a promising career ahead of him, but the question is, will he ever be able to compete with his father? I guess we will have to wait and see.
