Heartwrenching Picture Shows Japnese Women Physically Abused By Her Grandfather

The woman, who is now in her 20s, suffered at the hands of her abusive grandfather.

Who not only starved her, but would physically abuse her if he caught her eating.

Selfies have taken just before she was hospitalized ten years ago, shows the woman looking shockingly thin with protruding hipbones and rib-cage.

The woman from Kyoto in Central Japan’s Kansai region claimed in a tweet that she was 'forbidden to eat' by her abusive grandparent, who would 'kick me in the belly' when she was caught eating in secret.

She was so malnourished that she ended up weighing just 16.8 kilograms - or 37 lbs or 2.6 stone.

In her social media post, she urged those suffering from similar abuse or eating disorders not to wait, saying they should 'ask for help before it's too late'.

When the girl was eventually rescued, experts told her she was 'ten minutes from death'.

Initially, when she told by social media users that she faked the images.

It was then a series of other photographs taken in the hospital which show bruises on her chest, were shared.

Ten years later, she is now in her 20s and has recovered from her horrific ordeal and is now of a wholesome weight.

The woman has not divulged if any actions were taken against her grandfather nor where any other family members were at the time.
