A mother of a four-year-old boy who was MAULED to DEATH by FOUR pit bulls as he walked with his mother to volunteer at school, broke down in court as she described her son's final moments.

The judge was reduced to TEARS as his mother described walking with little Xavier Strickland on December 2, when dogs crawled out from underneath a fence and LUNGED at the toddler. Xavier was then SNATCHED from his mother by the vicious animals. Lucille Strickland watched in horror as her precious boy was dramatically taken from her.

The pit bulls' owner, 41-year-old Geneke Lyons, has been charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter and possessing dangerous dogs, causing death. Strickland ran to call for help. As she was running, she said she heard what were Xavier's tragic final words: ‘Help me, ma! Help me!'
