There are plenty of us who haven't really grown up, and there is nothing to be ashamed about. The 90s were great, and it was really nice to have some toys that helped us play and learn. If you want to relive that feeling or share a piece of your childhood with your own children, here are some of the toys that you played with that can still be found today.
Here Are Nine Toys That You Loved As A Child Growing Up In The 90s That You Can Still Actually Buy
Fisher-Price Corn Popper
Who remembers being a tiny tike pushing this bad boy around? We used to pretend that we were helping mom vacuum or helping dad cut the grass with this fun toy.
Furby
I was totally creeped out by these things at first. After a while, they kind of grew on me. I remember my mother going out and trying to buy up the entire collection.
Lite-Brite
Talk about a throwback! The commercials were so awesome that just about every kid I knew had one of these. We were able to make some really beautiful works of lit-up art. We even used to sneak and play with them after the lights were supposed to be out.
Sea Monkeys
For some kids, it was ant farms, others liked stamp-collecting. But the really cool kids got to order in a case of sea monkeys and watch them develop into an ocean zoo, and we still couldn't figure out how it worked!
Pet Rock
I never had one of these as a kid. I always wondered, do you raise it from a pebble? Did you feed it and read it bedtime stories? Could you play fetch with it?
How did this even work?
Easy Bake Oven
Every little girl wanted to be just like mom and cook in her own kitchen. Since most of us were not even allowed in the kitchen back in the day, this was the next best thing. How many little cakes did you make in your Easy Bake Oven?
Etch A Sketch
This list would not be complete without this toy that got some many of us into art as kids. Do you remember all of the crazy pictures that you used to make on yours? I know I used to make lots of overlapping staircases that ended up creating an optical illusion and would get mad when someone would shake my artwork clean away.
Rainbow Brite Doll
While some kids had regular dolls and Barbies, a lucky few of us had the iconic Rainbow Brite doll. She was so bright and happy looking that she brought happiness and energy to any room that you brought her into.
Tamagotchi
Anyone who orders one of these nowadays has probably lost their original pet and wants to take a whack at doing a better job this time around. Just remember that this toy takes a lot of care and time in order to grow a successful Tamagotchi.
