Wearing black was the idea to support Time's Up (initiative to fight sexual harassment in Hollywood) but Meher Tatna decided to wear an Indian styled red dress to Golden Globe Awards 2018. Unexpectedly, no one is criticizing Tatna as the woman has intelligently explained her reason.

It was decided that everyone would wear black to 75th Annual Golden Globes Awards in solidarity with Time’s Up which is a Hollywood women's initiative to fight against sexual harassment in the industry. But the President of the Hollywood Press Association, Meher Tatna chose a red gown rather than wearing a black dress to the ceremony.

But no one is upset with the president's choice as the Indian woman has a reason behind her attire. Meher, who hosted the ceremony as well, was asked about her different colored dress on the red carpet. “When you have a celebration, you don’t wear black,” Tatna told.

Tatna added that it was against her culture to wear black unless she is a widow in mourning. The woman in beautifully crafted Indian-styled gown further explained that she had chosen the dress with her mother weeks ago. "So this is for my mom," Tatna said.

Although Meher did not wear black, she had already shown her support for the initiative before the Awards event took place. “I am totally in solidarity with them,” Tatna told Vanity Fair.

Everyone responded to Mehr's choice in a positive way and did not criticize the host's outfit choice as a different dress color does not mean that the woman is against the initiative to stop harassment in the entertainment industry.
